by buttons1 on 2009-12-31National Arts Centre - Ottawa

This show was entertaining for all ages. The music, characters, and ambiance was unforgettable. A true classic and loved by everyone in my party and theatre. A good family get together for the holidays and of course any time of the year. ! Wonderful and hope to see more show like this one.

by Caper61 on 2009-12-31National Arts Centre - Ottawa

This was an excellent show, I found it to be light heart and fun to watch. The cast were very good and to sing those songs was great. I would definitely go again....

by DarDar on 2009-12-31National Arts Centre - Ottawa

Entertaining from the rise of the curtain to the very end. Massive energy ! This is the second time I have seen the production. Enjoyed this time even more than the first. Would I go again? - you bet !!

We enjoyed the show - the only thing that I can say was I had my 78 year old mother with us (as there were alot of older people there) she found it a little racy (too much sexually suggestions). The music and songs were very well done. Thanks,

    Huge disappointment

by BBPP on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

Poor use of the NAC's sound system. Sound faded in and out, and the lyrics were often unintelligible. Mostly dull/stale jokes. Energetic singing and dancing, but no spark or delight - these folks have done this hundreds of times, and it shows. I was embarassed for the performers when they had to wear Abba-like costumes. Definitely the worst night of entertainment I've seen in all of 2009. And I went to many dozens of plays and live music performances, some of the amateur. But all were better than Mamma Mia. Most were a lot cheaper, too.

    Great night at MamaMia

by Freerider222 on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

Was a great and enjoyable night. The cast did a brilliant job and had great voices. The whole audience seemed to be enjoying themselves throughout the whole show with laughs and cheers. I would recommend this show to anyone looking to have a great night out.

If you want to dream it's the play to see.......

by LadyDiDi on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

We were 11 to attend this big event and everybody was happy. We went back in time with the songs, we laugh, we clapped our hands and we cried. The costumes were splendid, the dances were grrrrreat. I would go back anytime to see this show. Hope to have another show like this soon. Thanks

    Mamma Mia - Great

by FisherFamilySix on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

Excellent! Rosie and Tanya were bang on. Donna seem to start quiet but after a warm-up she really drove it home in the second Act. Bill, Harry and Sam also were a great fatherly trio. The NAC could benefit from some better ventilation to make for a more enjoyable experience. It was hot and stuffy. We were dying of thirst at intermission and after the show (take a water bottle). Our son (6) and daughter (10) were laughing out loud and singing along until the very end and we had to shush grandma a few times but we let her sing out loud and dance along with the closing scene. Great fun.

    Fantastic performance by talented artists

by Jamese on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

The show was fantastic. All of the artists were remarkable. The lady who took over for the role of Donna Sheridan did a super job. Her singing ability was first rate. The performer playing Sophia Sheridan carried the show, We enjoyed all of the artists but especially the characters Tanya and Rosie. We would and have recommended the show to anyone and everyone we come into contact with. We have been to shows before, all of which were good, but this has to be one of the best. Jim and Wendy Williams

    Ideal for ALL ages!

by Amelie on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

I brought my 4 year old daughter last year and loved it. This year I brought my 3 year old daughter, my mother, my grandmother and my best friend. We had an AMAZING girls' night out! It is perfect for any age and we were all up and dancing along by the end of the show. The cast is very dynamic and seem to feed off of each other's energy.

    Whoah Mama-- best show ever.

by Katsi on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

Very well done. The transitions between scenes and the fade outs (from song to conversation back to song during the party) were excellent.

    Awesome!

by Stefanious on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

I took my parents as their Xmas present and we all loved it! "Money Money Money" the choreography was fabulous, "Take a Chance on Me" - hilarious and "Does Your Mother Know" the young guy was a terrific dancer. Also the encore was really fun. Thank you so much! The only thing I would recommend is don't serve drinks right up until the bell rings to return from intermission, we had to gulp them down.

Mamma Mia was it ever good!

by vader0595 on 2009-12-30National Arts Centre - Ottawa

Many friends had recommended it, and I have always loved Abba's music, but unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to go. Until last night, and it was worth the wait. Absolutely phenomenal. Very funny, and incredibly entertaining.
