    Fantastic show

by Rem on 2022-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Good things: The mariachi show was fantastic. Bad things: Started late, MC was very lacking, spoke only in spanish, people were walking in the hallways during the whole presentation, people were taking photos in front of the stage during the presentation, the preshow/opening performers were pretty bad, (like a school show that you can’t wait to finish). I was about to walk out if I had not paid so much for the tickets. Luckily I didn’t because the Mariachi Vargas was spectacular.

    Awful beginning

by Luis Salas on 2022-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

What a bad experience wait for them almost one hour, the schedule was at 8:00 pm and they started almost at 9, also they introduced other people who did a performance and it wasn't really good, our expectations dropped really bad at the beginning, then they did they performance and it was great, they're really good they just need to fix that up, its so disrespectful for all the ones who went to watch the show.

One of the best performances I have seen in a long time.

by PepitoKabron on 2022-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

It was an honour to see this incredible group of musicians in action. For years, we only had the ability to listen to their music via a CD and lately via a Streaming service. It is sad that we can't bring Juan Gabriel to perform in Vancouver, but we still have a good chance to see Luis Miguel. I saw him in Mexico 35 years ago, I think I am ready for a new concert.

Great show but not enough English

by Laurie on 2022-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I am engaged to a Mexican and this show was amazing for him, he loved it. I liked it as well, however I do not speak Spanish and 98% of the show was spoken in Spanish, when they were talking about this history of Mariachi and all about the members and all about the show was all spoken in Spanish. I love the Spanish Language and trying to learn it but to really get the history across on a show like this in an English speaking country, I would have loved to have seen English subtitles up on the screen in behind them when they were speaking Spanish so that all us English speaking people would know what was being talked about. Other than that, it was a great show.
