At 67 Matt Minglewood owns the stage. He is a great guitar player and a terrific performer. I only knew half the songs but it didn't matter. He is a true entertainer and loves what he does.
Great to see Matt again having known him for 40 some years. I get out to see him every time he comes to town for a taste of good old down home east coast music. We will be "rockin' the blues till we die". Thanks for a great evening Matt.
Fantastic concert as always. Matt was awesome. We loved every minute of it.
Can't you see has taken on more modern words, but Matt's style remains as solid as when he played at the Misty Moon Cabaret many years ago!
Terrific show, I wished it was longer. A second encore would have been nice. I wish he still had a harp player in his band. It adds to so many of his songs..
well guys the show was unforgettablely awesome, however most of the crowd would have loved to have room to dance. Next show should have a dance floor area for the people who want to cut a rug. Just a thought! Cheers
Close your eyes and I swear you can hear Matt singing 30 years ago at the Old Misty Moon on Gottingen Street in Halifax.. The band is tight and the tunes are solid. It's deja vu all over again. Countrified rockin' blues the way they were meant to be played and sung. The only thing missing in this venue was a decent dance floor. Come on really? Listening to Matt Minglewood without a place to dance? This band deserves a tavern or night club environment. Despite the venue, the show was GREAT!
I 've seen lots of Matt's shows back in the day, having lived back east. This show was a wow for me. Matt's music is better than ever, his insturmental was great . The sound and lighting were fairly good. Him andthe boys say it all with " rockin the blues" Great perfomances by all the band. Solid show.
