I was disappointed. Saying that I know it is practically impossible to fill such big shoes left behind by the King of Pop, but I also know that Cirque du Soleil can make anything possible, but there were just so many times where the show fell short and I left feeling really disillusioned. The Jackson Five group couldn't seem to do their dance moves and remember the words for lipsynching which was made very obvious to everyone as the cameras were feeding them onto the big screen. The big shoes and glove at the end were a good idea, but short lived. Why weren't there more famous MJ costumes, and MJ moves that everyone would have recognized? Instead there seemed to be random, and uninteresting costumes, and the moves were just repeated over and over again .. only so many times I want to see the backwalk folks .. what about all the other moves MJ was famous for? And why was there a monkey, or elephants? It felt as if these characters were thrown in as a last minute idea to take up space rather than have a reason for being there. Plus, the songs. There were so many classics that were missing .. what about Billy Jean for example? And finally .. in regards to the arena .. where was crowd control? Why was the entire shown overshadowed by some drunk buffoons who were singing so loud they drowned out MJ? (and we were right above an entrance where staff was standing the whole time!) And the guy next to me who was taking photos and video all night?
