Mike Birbiglia is a comedian, writer, director, and actor who has performed his award-winning solo shows worldwide--from the Sydney Opera House to the West End of London to Broadway. His five solo shows Sleepwalk With Me, My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, Thank God For Jokes, The New One, and The Old Man & The Pool enjoyed successful runs on and off Broadway and became hit Netflix comedy specials. The shows merge storytelling and comedy in a way that The New York Times has called "Birbiglian." Birbiglia also wrote, directed, and starred in the films Sleepwalk with Me and Don't Think Twice. As an actor, Birbiglia has appeared in the films Trainwreck, The Fault in Our Stars, Popstar, A Man Called Otto as well as TV roles in Orange Is the New Black and Billions. He hosts the podcast Mike Birbiglia's Working It Out.

I first heard Mike on the Bob and Tom show about 10 years ago and I have been a big fan ever since. He put on a fantastic show and the Bluma Appel theatre was a perfect place to see him. He is one of the best from start to finish. Look forward to seeing him again.
Mike was outstanding - terrific show. What was not is the fact we had to get up five times to let people into our row after the show had started. As a result of these disruptions/distractions, missed the continuity of several jokes/stories. The last interruption was half an hour after the show had started. There has to be a better way!
Mike Birbiglia was brilliant, as usual. However, audience members were still filing into the show as late as 45 minutes after it had started. And people were constantly getting up to go into the lobby and come back with drinks. A big portion of the audience acted like they were in a nightclub rather than a theatre. Very rude to both the performer and the rest of the audience. Birbiglia's work is more theatre than stand-up. In the future, I hope JFL treats his shows that way. Maybe even start a no-latecomers policy.
Mike was wonderful. He had the entire audience laughing during the entire performance. Love that he doesn’t swear.
Take your partner or friend to see Mike. Perfect night out.
Mike did a great job at engaging the audience with funny stories about his life. Material was polished with great delivery. Really made a connection with people. I had a great time.
