Mike The Knight excellent for a young audience

by Bmouse on 2015-02-18Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

My 3 year old grandson really enjoyed the show. The singing and dancing was very good. I think the Queen Elizabeth theatre is a fabulous venue but it was too big for this type of show. With so much open space, it was hard to hear if the young audience was interacting with the actors that well. Regardless, my grandson had no problem following the show. We're looking forward to more productions.

Mike the Knight was only okay

by Envelope on 2015-02-18Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Story didn't truly bring out the concept of "teamwork." Teamwork means working TOGETHER to accomplish a goal. The characters happily went off on their own teams . . . it felt like the only reason they pooled their resources all together at the end was because they couldn't WIN on their own. Another disappointment was there was no Galihad, the horse!!

    Very entertaining for kids

by jayla88 on 2015-02-17Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

It was suitable for all ages. They had dancing and singing but not too much that the kids were overloaded. I would say its best for kids 2-8 years old.

Definitely not worth the ticket price!

Was out first time attending a children's live performance and we were so excited to take our grandchildren ages 4 & 5. The quality of the set design and entire performance is comparable to a high school production.

Lots of singing and dancing! Bright colorful costumes and captivating cast! My daughter is 2.5 years old and she loved it! The show is a bit over an hour with one intermission.

    Mike the Knight was great

by Tawnya on 2015-02-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

My boys really enjoyed the show. There were a few slow songs played which I thought lost some of the kids attention, but other than that, the performance was good.

The show was fun and interactive!!

by pasio21 on 2015-02-12Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The show was fun for the kids and interacted with the audience well. Only thing that could have been better is more terminals for the debit/credit transactions for the merchandise outlet. The lineup for the outlet was really long during the intermission and spent most of the time there. The show had lots of music and the storyline was easy for kids to follow.

    I've seen better kids shows

by slickluck on 2015-01-31Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

Took my 3 yr old and 7 yr old sons to Mike the Knight this past weekend. They really love the show on TV so I thought it was a sure bet. When the show started I was already a little disappointed. The characters looked really close to TV which was great, but the content just seemed to be lacking for the whole show. I really didn't like how Sparky never came out from behind the wall (just make him a full costume!) and the lack of Galahad was a disappointment for the boys. As the show went on it got better. My sons said they did enjoy it but they weren't glued to it like they have been at other performances that are similar. Probably good to see if your kids are really into Mike the Knight.

Went with a 3 and 5 year old and they had a great time. They loved the songs and that one of the dragons squirted REAL water.

My daughter was entertained for the first half. Then got tired after the break. Break should have been less time.
