MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET ON TOUR:
Hot on the heels of its Broadway run, rock and roll musical Million Dollar Quartet is on the road to tell the story of the fateful meeting between Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash at an impromptu jam session in December of 1956. The musical focuses on these newcomers before they became icons, gathered for a rare collaboration at Sun Studios in Memphis. The cast brilliantly portrays the original performers while playing each timeless track with perfection and ease. Million Dollar Quartet will have fans all shook up this summer with their red-hot 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The first time we saw the show, we were in Chicago. When we heard the show was coming to Detroit, we were definitely going again! They are all so talented, the voices are amazing!
Amazing portrayal of 4 young men who grew into something spectacular!!! These boys were the root of rock and roll!! Awesome actor protrayal of Sun Records and whst happened on that faithful day!! Loved this show.. Would definatly see it if it comes back!! Wonderful actors... Loved Jerry Lee Lewis!!!
My wife and I saw the MDQ at New World Stages in NYC and a couple of years ago we saw the touring version in Toronto. This ensemble was so full of energy. Obviously for us to go a 3rd time we like the show, but this time it just seemed to have more flair. I can honestly say I'd consider seeing MDQ again in the future.
enjoyable......music and story were great......totally entertaining..............talented group
Absolutely wonderful - we could have watched another hour of listening to the music. Very meaningful to review the true history of Sam Phillips & Sun Records and his involvement with four of the biggest players in the music industry. Excellent.
It was a diffrent time in history, but you felt that you where right there with the players. Excellent show, very well done, and the picked the best to play each character.
My wife and I recently attended this event at the historic Fisher Theatre in Detroit. We knew from reviews that it would be good but it definitely exceeded our expectations. It was nothing short of amazing! The performers and musicians were all excellent. I have been to the Sun Studio in Memphis and seen the famous photo but this performance really brought it to life.
