Great game wild cats dominated Val dor as badly outshot them
I love having a local major jr team like the Wildcats to cheer for. It's fun to watch the players develop into elite NHL players. The Avenir Centre is amazing and has the feeling of an NHL building. The Wildcats are a class act and I am always proud to cheer for them and how they represent Moncton in the hockey world.
For my first time at a game in the Avenir Centre l deside to choose the last row so my wife want have to walk far because of bad knees. To our dissapointment behind the back row is a wall ,There was a tall stair to climb which isn't easy for my wife ...When the usher notice my wife difficulties she suggest to sit in the handicap section and even call the personne in that section to verify availability .After the first period the very nice and very polite usher Gisèle guide us to the handicap section where another super lady help us with two chairs so we could watch the game as comfortable as could be ...Thank to Gisèle in section 115 and the other lady in section 103 to make our first experience a great expérience at Avenir
The only complaint are the cost of snacks and beer. Suggest you go with smaller beer cans and charge a more normal price ie. $6.00/ea. I also find that the games tend to be long and finish late. In this particular instance, it started at 8:00 and finished at 10:45. To many delays between periods and long stoppage of play during commercial breaks. However, I do understand the reasons for the delays when broadcasting on the game on TV.
The game was exciting to the very end. This was my first time in the new venue, the new building is great the seats are comfy, plenty of restrooms and the staff are friendly.
Everyone won the between plays activities which is how it should be.
The avenir centre is a very clean and modern building. Hockey games have great fan experience and electrifying atmosphere.
Very nice centre. The seats close to the glass were very comfy. The concessions were very expensive. I figured they would be expensive but not $5 for a small bottle of pop. A little excessive.
My daugther and I had a very good time , our seats were good and the cats won 6-1
Good venue, service level high, entertaining product on the ice. But the loud noise level is a big drawback.
The game was a blowout for the home team but the venue is well designed for both sporting and musical events. I would say paying major league concession prices for major junior sports is somewhat frustrating.
The game of hockey for me it is a day or night out with my good friends and enjoy Hockey.
Great atmosphere, great energy and always a fun night out for both adults and kids ! Go Cats Go !!
Except for concession and elevator problems, the venue was great and the new staff tried to fix these problems as the night went on. No Tim Hortons yet. There are several handicap parking spots but you must get there early.
First, the tickets are a bit high for junior hockey. Why hiring an American company for the food service?? The are ridiculous. We are not an NHL city and not an USA city where you can jack the price!!!! Also, the quantity of food in the plate are not what are expecting. Only half of the container for a 9$ poutine!!!! Really.....unreal. very disappoint and I won't go back. 4$ for a chocolat bar, 4,50$ for water!!!! 10$ for a can of beer of 473mL.... Hahaha. Its too bad because the Widcats team will suffer at the end because there will be no fan at the games!!!
They should have called it the "Irving Centre", not the "Avenir Centre" because inside it is plastered with most if not all of the Irving brand of companies. Also, you are constantly bombarded with ads for this, ads for that. Food, as well as the beer, is expensive. Interruptions to clean the goalie crease sponsored by, come on this is a hockey game, not an advertising game, An announcement for something sponsored by. It will be a long time before I return to see a Widlcats game.
First game in the new centre. It was a great game and an even better facility!
The hockey game was excellent. However the pre-game show was an absolute disgrace and looked like something that was put together last minute and was WAY too long. The Stomping Tom Connor impersonation was a joke and the Moncton Wildcats should be ashamed of allowing that person on the ice.
The game was excellent, seats were great, however there were no cup holders, not so good having to sit your drink on the ground where they stand a great chance of being knocked over. Entering the building did not take long, once the line started moving, we were there around 5 to get in line Exiting the building was atrocious, need to open more doors to let people out quicker. Missed having the Team standings board like in the old coliseum.
