    Natalie cole

by Slystar on 2014-02-17River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Found her to be not very engaging with the audience. Closed her eye a lot and not making eye contact with the audience . , the show was way too short only1 hour and 10 minutes in total . There should have been intermission and she sing for another hour. Quite disappointed

It was nice to sit down at a concert and just listen to someone sing. Natalie Cole still has a great voice. The band was excellent as well as the backup singers (two girls). We had great seats and had no problem seeing or hearing everything. The pictures of Natalie and her father and family on the screens added a nice touch during the concert. Returning soon to see Peter Frampton and Robert Cray.

    A New Natalie Cole

by Standers on 2013-04-15Casino Rama - Rama

I have been a BIG fan of Natalie Cole since her first big hit, Inseparable. I have seen her 4 different times and her voice still amazes me. Her performance on Friday night was different in a few ways. First, in the past Natalie normally takes the stage for 65-70 minutes. Friday she was up there for 105 minutes. Second, Natalie is not normally very chatty, Friday she talked about her dad and a bit of her childhood. Very appreciated. Third, I have never seen her perform anything outside of her repertoire of songs (this includes newly released songs) but Friday she did a medley of hits as a tribute to recent singers that have passed away. This was terrific! I recognized the band leader from previous appearances. Is this the girl that co-wrote La Costa with Natalie? Overall, I was happy with the evening as I like both the old songs from the 50s and 60s and the R&B material (although there wasn't much R&B). Looking forward to the new Spanish CD release.

    This lady can SING!

by StellaStarlight on 2013-04-14Casino Rama - Rama

I have seen Natalie before, however I was blown away at how well every note was placed, with such ease and feeling. I now have her in my #1 singer spot - AMAZING!

    Natalie Cole Eventually Shines!

by BenDrusen on 2013-04-14Casino Rama - Rama

Little bit of a slow start, perhaps by design. Both guys had a bit of nap during this portion of the show, while the ladies loved it start to finish. Second half of the show was much better and saved the day. Everyone left with rave reviews!

    WOW

by Kathburt on 2013-04-14Casino Rama - Rama

Natalie was incredible. She was georgeous and elegant and the stage lighting was wonderful. Best of all was the music. She sang oldies, she sang Latin, she sang for those who can sing no more (whitney etc.) and it was fabulous. One of the best shows I have ever seen.

    Natalie was a no show!

by Fontana on 2012-07-16Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Very disappointed that she did not perform. Audience was not informed until after 8:00 p.m., after being seated, having spent travel time, communting through traffic, paying for parking and money to attend the performance. I was not impressed.

    Natalie Cole a no-show

by MoiraG on 2012-06-27Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

While the group playing backup for Ms Cole was admirable, talented, and charming as they took centre stage in Ms Cole's absence, I was understandably disappointed.

    Absolute disaster

by Rust on 2012-06-27Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Audience was allowed to the theater even though it was well known by the organizers that Natalie Cole was not going to turn up. Mario Romano was not ready for this . The whole event should have been cancelled. I think it was It was very dis-respectful of the organizers to the audience that they did not announce Natalie Cole was not taking stage till everybody was in the theater and seated. Sound system set up was terrible. They could not fix the volume of the base and piano for about 45 seconds at the beginning . What a lousy sound engineer!. Both Mario and Roberto had to wave several times to get the attention. Lighting was twice bad. Mario maneuvered elegantly saying " my retina is going to tear apart soon". Simply an awful event on the organizers side!! I felt bad for Mario.

What a classy performance. Nice to see a real band with a world class singer performing LIVE without any enhancements. The light show was very beautiful.

    Natalie Cole - even more!

by MJO3UK on 2012-02-21River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

I was a "so-so" fan of Natalie Cole, a legend, of course, as part of her father's legacy and a recording artist from a decade+ ago. I am now FAN of Natalie Cole - that was, without a doubt, the best concert I have seen in decades. Power and Poise - what a stunning artist! She did a Neil Young song that absolutely BLEW US AWAY!!!! Congrats Natalie - a perfect performance!

What a great concert! The venue was perfect and her voice filled the room wonderfully. She is a true jazz singer with unique talent. I didn't know it was possible, but she sounded better live than on her cds!

    Natalie was fantastic

by Otay on 2012-02-21River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

My wife said that it was the best anniversary present ever. Natalie took us on a musical excursion. Her voice was crisp and clear, sultry and smooth. My only regret was that the show had to end.

    natalie concert amazing

by rocket12 on 2012-02-20River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

I enjoyed seeing Natalie Cole so much. I wasn't sure what to expect and was extremely pleased. It was so nice to see her walk out in a classy outfit and matching shoes. These days the artisits wear such outrageous outfits and her's was just so classy as she is! She talked to the audience and talked about her history which I really enjoyed. I remember listening to her Dad sing on our record player at home as my Mom had all his 45's. I will remember her concert always.

    Natalie was worth the money

by Louis7 on 2012-02-20River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Loved her performance, very talented, amazing voice, great personality. I would go and see her show again. She sang different kind of music. It was very diversified.. The only thing that I would like her to have done was to walk a bit in the stage so for those that wasn't sitting in the center could see her a bit closer and better.

    hot evening

by vanhilt on 2012-02-20River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Wonderful show, Miss Cole was in fine form and presented a terrific selection from the American song book, and topped off the evening with some high energy rock tunes including a soulful rendition of Neil Young's 'Old Man". The show was sharply paced with a nice mix of upbeat and mellow numbers. The audience warmed throughout the show and were on their feet at the end and begged for an encore and a lovely semi-serious encore with a strong message of compasion and warmth for each other was given.

by Jazzeynights09 on 2012-02-20River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

What an evening. I was so impressed at Natalie Cole's grace and elegance. Her voice was solid and consistent throughout the evening. She made a personalized event. Love the huge variety of songs throughout the various genres. The venue made it a much for intimate event.
