This was just a spectacular show. With the mixture of both Natalie and Leahy it was thoroughly enjoyable!!! The Fiddle music was outstanding and the stage presence of all kept everyone enthrawled all through the show...........will definitely be seeing them again:)
Good concert very well done with a very almost cozy down east feel. Dancing is amazing. Highlighted a fifteen year old niece she is fantastic PS: the seats are very small and uncomfortable, especially on the floor!
From the moment Leahy and Natalie walked out on stage until they all walked off, the show rocked with energy. They never stopped playing, dancing and singing, it was awesome! It looked like they were doing what they all love to do!
We enjoyed the concert very much. This is the second time we have seen Leahy and they are as good or better than the first time. Natalie is excellent to watch. The little ones took the show and it is amazing to see the talent that this family has!! Thank you for bringing them in!!
This was an exceptional concert. What a treat to have the sensational musicians from both bands together. Their enthusiasm and great love for music and dance were evident throughout. The energy level was incredible and they worked hard but with great joy throughout the performance. It was a pleasure to see the next generation of the family in action and to know that this musical heritage will live on. The 15 year old soloist was particularly good. I will plan to see them all again at the nexst opportunity. I love people who put music before money and that was the aura that they projected. I trust that my impression was accurate.
It was amazing seen them 2 years ago at Rama and they blew me away then two. Best part was when there kids came out to play and dance . I can't wait to see them again.
What an unbelievable night we had! Natalie MacMaster has an amazing talent, great stage presence, and a sense of humour that shines through. Combine that with the formidable talent of the Leahy family and you have an incredible night. The icing on the cake was the next generation Leahys, 8-10 in all, who fiddled, step danced, and sang part way through the show - the youngest being 4 years old at most. Just fantastic. All the musicians on stage are multi-talented - they played many instruments, danced, and some sang. 15 year old Emily (daughter of Denise Leahy) blew us away with her vocals and stage presence for "When I Fall In Love." Everyone on stage looked like they were having a great time !! Wish I could go again tonight, I am already planning on attending their Christmas Show in November at the Sony Centre.
This concert was wonderful, it was full of toe tapping and hand clapping lively music, the none stop performers gave their best to please everyone.
Thanks so much for the energetic and utterly amazing muscial treat. Natalie and her hubby are truly masters of their love and talents with the fiddles. We were continually amazed with the depth and versitility of all members of both "bands". And, as my husband is a bagpiper, he was thrilled and filled with admiration over the talents of Robert and his skill with the pipes and flutes. An awe inspiring and delightfull evening that we will be talking about for a long while.
An excellent performance!!!!!! We could have watched them for another two hours, and it appeared that they were ready to perform for another two hours. They seemed to enjoy the concert as much as we ejoyed it.
In a small venue Such as the Shell Theatre the connectiion with the audience is like being in your living room. Macmaster and Leahy were the guests you would like to have over to entertain at your party. The music was excellent if not a bit too similar between a couple of pieces. Overall an evening well spent.
Truly AMAZING!!!! Enjoyed every minute of it. Wish it could have lasted longer. We brought people ages 14 to 86 and they all loved it. Would love to see them travel to Grande Prarie Alberta or Dawson Creek BC.
Absolutely awesome show!! The small venue was great....made for a very personal show. We were at the 3:00pm show and I would have loved to turn around and go back for the 8:00pm show!!!!!
You couldn't sit still in your seat at this consert. It was toe tapping and hand clapping from start to finish. All four in the show are extremely talented and very personable. It felt more of a house party with multi-talented friends than a stage show. I'll go again whenever they come to this area.
