  • Old School, but Still Cool!

    I have been a fan of Neil McCoy since a young age because my mother likes country music and Neil was one of very few performers I identified with because, like me, he is half filipino and half caucasian. I love that his music is fun, easy listening and cheerful. Though I enjoyed the world premiere of his song A-Okay here in Winnipeg, I would have liked to hear a little more of his older stuff. I liked that he validated his band members and treated them like family, rather than just his back-up. . . . He let each one perform their own song. I also loved the laid-back atmosphere and friendly vibe of the whole ensemble. Neil seems to be pretty down-to-Earth and can laugh at himself. Overall, I left with a warm, cheery feeling and a positive attitude. Definitely worth going. I would go again! Cheers, Lil

    This was the first time that I saw Neal live, and he was excellent. He doesn't use a set list. He sings what ever he feels like and will play requests from the audience. He spends a lot of time in the crowd high fiving his fans. I would recommend Neal's concert to anyone

    Neal is a real people person. As usual, he spends a lot of his time in the crowd high fiving his fans. He is down to earth, genuine and a top notch entertainer.

    Neal McCoy is one of the best entertainers I have ever seen. Just a wonderful and personable today as he was years ago at The Big Valley Jamboree.

    When I first went to see Neal McCoy perform in Dauphin, MB many years ago, I became an instant fan. Thursday's performance was no different - it was outstanding!! His rapport with the audience is fabulous - he tells jokes, he tells stories, he dances, he is so funny and oh yah, he sings great songs. All the members of his band are amazing performers as well as each one of them showcased a song. He made one young man's dream come true by bringing him up on stage to sing with him. Neal is the ultimate performer and there's a reason why he's been doing this for over 25 years.
