Ranked as the fourth best-selling rap artist of all time by the Recording Industry of America, Nelly has become a symbol of rap's crossover success in mainstream pop music. With over 21 million albums sold in the US alone, his pop-infused hip hop and unique vocal delivery have earned him six Top 10 albums and made him a live concert favorite. His seventh studio album, 2012's M.O., features hit singles "Hey Porsche" and "Get Like Me," a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Pharrell. Born Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr. in 1974, Nelly got his first taste of musical success with the St. Louis hip hop collective St. Lunatics. In 2000, he launched his solo career with No. 1 debut album Country Grammar, which showcased his signature Southern drawl mixed with a Midwestern twang. 2002 follow-up Nellyville also peaked at No. 1 and included the international smash " Hot in Herre," which earned him a Grammy in 2003 for Best Male Rap Solo Performance. On 2013's M.O. tour, Nelly treated ticket buyers to his greatest hits, earning rave reviews for his upbeat stage presence and charismatic performances.
It was very short . Riding on everyone’s childhood nostalgia and experiences. If we took the concert and compared it without our childhood memories it was mediocre
Paid for floor seats. Show had no opener, started an hour late and he only performed for an hour. Not worth the price.
I hate saying this, but this has to be one of the worst concerts I’ve ever been to. First, he was set to go on at 8pm. DJ played until 8:15 and then we had a lull with the lights up for almost an hour. Half of the set was his country cross-over material. Set finished before 10:15pm. What a disappointment!
I had a great time, venue was fine. Beer line was hectic however, my husband missed alot of the show waiting in line. Is was a short show. Couldn’t find the merch section.. and Sean Kingston wasn’t there like it was advertised.
Nelly was absolutely terrible. He came on an hour late, only performed for an hour and played very very short clips of his original songs and finished the show with playing so many other artists songs. I've been an OG day 1 Nelly supporter (I'm 36) and I was so ridiculously excited for this show and it was so utterly disappointing. I wish I would've never gone at all.
Nelly was good wish he did more of his older songs, tlc disappointed you can tell tboz did not want to be there (chili was the best person! Flo rida was the best act out of all of them he went out in the crowd really got into it love him!
The performance by NELLY was astonishing and I really hope that he decides to come back to Toronto it was such an amazing night and it was truly wonderful getting to meet one of my favorite artists
The music was amazing! Graphics Awesome! Nelly was good, TLc good but Flo Rida was out of this world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ask the venue to please clean up the ladies rooms!!!!!!one stall was missing the toilet seat
All 3 performers were awesome. They were all interactive with the fans and put on an amazing show. I couldn’t have asked for a better night!
Nelly was super entertaining and energetic. The lawns where really fun and the crowd was really into it. This was totally worth the $11.11 I payed for it!
He was amazing! So much energy! He still has it and can rock a crowd!!
It was great to see Nelly in concert. He was so active with the crowd. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
It took 2 hours and 15 minutes for Nelly to come out. The opening acts went way too long. Also, very disappointing that there was no merchandise to buy.
Don’t think a concert should be listening to a singer sing to can music.
Got tricked into going to a club thinking I would see nelly. He played @1:30am for about 3 minutes and that was all. I had to drink too much to be able to bear being in a club.
The Nelly concert was fantastic! His energy on stage was exactly what I expected. He was very interactive, and it was fabulous to hear members of the audience sing along! Would highly recommend this concert to anyone who is thinking of attending! My seats at the concert were EXCELLENT! What wasn't so excellent was there were people that ended up standing in the aisle in front of us and venue security did absolutely NOTHING to remove people from there. I felt cheated out of paying for a better quality seat when I could have paid for nose bleed section and just walked down to a better area. - of course this has NOTHING to do with the Nelly concert itself but the venue.
An hour and 5 minute set. Thanks for nothing Nelly. Never again!!!
Concert started 1 hour later than advertised. It was to short only about 45 min and encore.
Performance wise Nelly was exceptional, but what I really liked was he made it seem like he was so appreciative that we were there, name dropping Winnipeg! and I think him thanking the fans for sticking with him for almost 20 years was pretty cool.
He was amazing! Sang old hits and some stuff off his new album. Very humble, charasmatic, and thankful. A little short, he was only on for an hour. Seats at Regent Event Center are comfy, but bigger people might find the seat width not ideal. Lots of leg room (dancing space lol)
