Ranked as the fourth best-selling rap artist of all time by the Recording Industry of America, Nelly has become a symbol of rap's crossover success in mainstream pop music. With over 21 million albums sold in the US alone, his pop-infused hip hop and unique vocal delivery have earned him six Top 10 albums and made him a live concert favorite. His seventh studio album, 2012's M.O., features hit singles "Hey Porsche" and "Get Like Me," a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Pharrell. Born Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr. in 1974, Nelly got his first taste of musical success with the St. Louis hip hop collective St. Lunatics. In 2000, he launched his solo career with No. 1 debut album Country Grammar, which showcased his signature Southern drawl mixed with a Midwestern twang. 2002 follow-up Nellyville also peaked at No. 1 and included the international smash " Hot in Herre," which earned him a Grammy in 2003 for Best Male Rap Solo Performance. On 2013's M.O. tour, Nelly treated ticket buyers to his greatest hits, earning rave reviews for his upbeat stage presence and charismatic performances.

    After 3 hours of watching music videos (don't get me wrong, watching 90s hip hop vids really got us into the mood for Nelly - but 3 hours!?) he finally came on stage at 12:40 am on a Thursday night. To our horror, he didn't sing full songs and his hits were remixed with different background tracks. I would say most people at this concert were in their 30s and 40s (teenagers in the 90s) and came to hear the songs of our glory days. Most also had to work the next day. We left after about 4 songs, the sound was terrible which was surprising because they had over 3 hours to get it right.

    WOW WOW WOW!!!! What an AMAZING show!!! Not only did Nelly perform, but to my suprise, he brought along the ENTIRE St. Lunatics crew!! Soooo awesome! Avery Storm was also performing at the concert - so there were ALOT of sweet song collaborations amongst all of these fine performers! I loved how the entire crew involved the audience in their performance - from inviting fans onstage, to letting us hold the mic and sing during songs, to performing in the crowd, and even talking to us after the show! It was just amazing and it truly showed how much they appreciate their fans! ONE OF THE BEST CONCERTS EVERRRR!! Hands-down!

    The sounds was GREAT! The view rocked and so did Nelly!! We were so close that we could of TOUCHED HIM! Love it! Would go again anyday!! I LOVE YOU NELLY!!!

    The people who opened weren't very good and it dragged on for too long. Luckily Nelly is so good that it made up for the beginning.

    I must say that I was very unsure about what to expect because I've never been to a hip hop concert and I didn't know too many Nelly songs. Or so I thought. I was so pleansantly surprised when I realized that I knew most of the songs and that my favorites (some old) were on the set list. Nelly was amazing! Fun, engaging, entertaining, easy on the eyes lol and best of all, he can really sing!!! Overall, I loved the concert and will definitely go again when I get the chance.

    The last time I saw Nelly and The St. Lunatics was in Chicago with 24,999 other people. This time I was right up front in a fairly intimate crowd. It was a blast. He still put on a show as though it was for 25,000. I couldn't believe it when it was over. It felt like we'd only been there a short while. If he'd gone another hour I would still be wanting more.

    The sound was poor, the light show was budget. The words were all muffled and the show started late. I was expecting a lot from the Nelly concert because his music is hot, but the show was a big dissapointment. Take a look at other performers for some ideas and wow fans.

    I really like Nelly but the concert was somewhat disappointing. His set was very short, just over an hour, and a good chunk of that time was spent with stunts such as bringing people on stage from the audience. I expected him to perform more of his songs, rather than knocking them off 2 or 3 at a time by doing short medleys. For the price I don't think he worked hard enough for the money. I also wish he had dancers on stage as his opening act did... its what one would expect from watching his music videos. Its also the only concert I've attended where there was no encore.
