  • NKTOBSB was tons of fun!

by renjl on 2011-08-08Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

This concert exceeded my expectations. I was never big into boy bands when I was growing up, but I knew both NKTOB songs and BSB songs, so I thought it would be fun to see them all performing together. Neverest opened, which was I wasn't really into. The Matthew Morrison came on and he was a great performer. His singing was better than I expected live and he dances pretty well too! Way better than Mr. Shue. The best was his cover of Golddigger, which he did on Glee as well. Really fun. And his originals were quite good too. He plays the ukelele which adds a nice sound. As for NKOTBSB, it was fantastic. They were all really high energy and they did all the hits. They seemed to have a sense of humour about it a bit, like they realized that it's somewhat hilarious that they are in their 30s/40s and are still in boy bands. It was feel good through and through and I would recommend it to anyway that was even a casual fan of either group! One thing I would have liked to see what BSB try an NKOTB song, and vice versa.

  • NKOTBSB and Mathew Morrison

by CIKgryl on 2011-08-08Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was awesome. Mathew Morrison was a wonderful surprise because he is clearly and exceptionally talented and entertaining! NKOTBSB was exceptional too! The show is very high energy and the mashups of their old and new songs (mashed with current music from other artists) made for a very entertaining night. I loved it from beginning to end.

  • UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING!!!

I have been to see BSB and NKOTB separately, and although I have always thought BSB put on a better show and always an entertaining one, this is by far the best show I have been to!! To see the respect they have for one another and their talent makes it that much more enjoyable and makes me respect both bands even more!

  • BEST. CONCERT. EVER!

by KatYo on 2011-08-08Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

I've gone to many shows and can honestly say this was the best concert I have ever been to. There was non-stop action and the energy level kept rising throughout the show. I grew up with NKOTB and later BSB. While I was too young to see NKOTB live, I have seen BSB perform numerous times. I must say that NKOTB stole the show for me because it was pure nostalgia. They sang songs I loved. BSB sang songs that I wouldn't have chosen - but appealed to their more current fans. Since I'm more of a rock radio listener now, I have more of a connection to their earlier albums (Black & Blue and earlier). I can't believe they didn't sing We've Got It Goin' On! But I'm sad that it's over... and even sadder that I'll never experience them both together again.

  • Boy Band SuperGroup

I've been to a few BSB concerts and the latest NKOTB concert a few years ago. They've always been fun. Being a guy, (Even though I'll be in the minority) I'm proud to say that I enjoy listening to their music. What guy wouldn't want a stadium full of girls screaming for them?? Come on fellows. It was great to see their mash-ups although I expected more singing together compared to the individual group songs that they had. Very disppointed they did not sing their only other new song they recorded together "It's All In My Head" I was looking forward to that one along with "Don't Turn Out the Lights"

  • NKOTBSB was Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    by bsbfan234 on 2011-07-28Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The concert from the very beggining was amazing starting with the opening bands Matthew Morrison and Neverest, they were both really awesome and a great way to kick off the show. Mostly I was really excited to see the Backstreet Boys because I loved them since I was a little girl and it brought back a lot of good childhood memories. NKOTB was pretty good too even though I only knew a couple of their songs they still put on a really great show. All in all the concert was amazing. =)

  • I am still in love!!!

    by SClub7 on 2011-07-27Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

When Joey McIntyre reminded the Calgary audience that they first came to Calgary in 1989, I sighed. I was 10 years old back then and I was at that concert...and the boys did not disappoint. This is the third time I've seen NKOTB and the second time I've seen BSB live. I enjoyed their separate numbers and the few joint numbers. Great energy and I was admittedly drooling :)

This show was absolutely unreal. I have been a fan of backstreet boys for years and this show exceeded my expectations. They played all of their classics and no concert is complete without synchronized dances, sequence and an flash of a stomach or two. Overall I would pay to see this show over and over again. It brought me to tears.
