New Year’s Eve Tickets

No line up which was good. Good service for drinks. Spatious, had some tables and seats. Not too many people, drinks were expensive. Overall good music and a good time :)

I have nothing but good things to say about NYE 2012 at the Hilton in Metrotown! It was awesome to say the least. We had dinner & dance tickets and rented a hotel room there as well. It turned out to be the best idea ever as I wasn't rushed, I faced no line ups, and I could return to my room to freshen up whenever I wanted to. The dinner was really good. There were plenty of selections (chicken, fish, prime rib, etc) and it looked like everyone was really happy with the food as I saw nothing but smiles all around. The desert tables were as large as the main buffet almost, so there were plenty of people walking around with plates full of pastries and cakes. Delicious! The DJs were really great and after dinner, they pumped each room into a frenzy with very upbeat dance tunes that everyone knew. At midnight in the Crystal Ballroom, it was so packed on the dance floor that it was just everyone jumping , screaming, and waving their balloons to the beat of the music. Glowing lights, balloons, and whistles were everywhere! It was actually a little crazy. But I really liked it anyways, LOL. The music had an intense frenzy going by the countdown and people were so excited it was really quite amazing! Definately worth a recommendation.

Good venue and fun decorations. The dinner food was okay and I liked the buffet style. Lots of different options for dinner and of course, the desserts were delicious. However the place didn't fill up until around1030pm and we were there at 6pm, so it made for a very long night. The DJs did not stick to their themes and the music in the large ballroom was mixed so poorly. Alibaba was disappointing and one song I even thought was skipping it was mixed just awful. Old school music was fun, but they kept throwing in random Caribbean jams and then Michael Jackson. Not to my taste. Okay crowd though, but not ideal for young FIT people as most were overweight and showing it off in tacky tight dresses. One woman wore a dress that had a shoelace as the side...

So impressed with the diversity of people and ages.

This event was definitley lots of fun. There was 4 different rooms and the crowd was all kinds of people and age group I would say was 25-40 which I liked. I wish the this party didn't end at 2:00. We felt like it was too early, it would have been better if they had it until 3:00. There was also some appy's which was nice as well cause I didn't even go to the dinner, I just went to the dance.

Good event, you had to be there by 10 to get in quickly though. We went to Bobbys first and got our wrist band there so once we got through the line to palace after we just showed them the band and got through.

Free masquerade masks and drinks! Packed with people there to party! Just watch out ladies for the creeps who come up from behind and try to grind on you on the dance floor without you okaying it! Otherwise an awesome party!!!

I don't want to sit here and hate because I did have a good time on New Years Eve. I just didn't think it was worth the cover price to get in. The bathroom's were disgusting by 10 pm. It was a huge inconvenience to go back out front, and stand in line to come back in, just to have a cigarette. And I also thought the security was a joke.

Always an awesome party with great setting, very well organized, great service and great dinner. 4 dance rooms with a ton of people. just wish they could push it a bit further that 2 am. seems to finish sooo fast.
