    Salvaged the weekend

by B. F. on 2020-03-03The Avalon Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Always dread the astronomical prices of everything from bottles of water to meals, in Niagara Falls, ON. But the weekend was salvaged by a great show! Very funny and insightful!!

    Very fun and entertaining

I want to give this 5 stars for effort, but I have to give it 4 stars for over all enjoyment. Also, please take keep an open mind about the 1 star reviews as what some people will hate, others will love, and so on. Nick and Megan's performance was on point, funny, sometimes intelligent, but mostly low brow with inappropriate and dark/offensive humor for shock value. I am personally a fan of such humor, but if you are not, then you should avoid this if you are offended by graphic sexual themes and less graphic sexual themes with Jesus :P I came in not knowing what to expect, and I was a little disappointed that the majority of their stand up was silly songs, but for what they were, they were VERY entertainingly funny songs. Yes they had lyric sheets they sang from, and even stumbled a time or 2, causing them to humorously start over on a note/incorrect line, only to make fun of themselves about it. I like that especially in comedy. People are not perfect, and its nice to see people make fun of their own mistakes. I wish there had been less songs and more stand up, and I probably would have given it a 5 star rating. I gave it 4 because it wasn't what I expected, and not what I usually go for, but it was done so well, and had me and most of the audience laughing out loud, that I thoroughly enjoyed myself that night.

Flew in to see this sad situation of a show..

by Disappointeddude on 2015-04-30Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

So I'm an avid fan of both Nick and Megan, three or four hours before the show she pulled out due to sickness. We flew in to Vancouver just to see them since they only had the one Canadian stop. I wanted to remain hopefull that it would still be an awesome show, as I enjoyed his stand up before. He came out, basically winged the whole thing, talked about what the show should have been and did some half ass songs he had to read off a sheet. People left during the show which I can't say I blamed them. Two hours in it ended, and he ran off the stage instantly. I'm not one to go online and razz celebrities, but this was honestly a joke of a show. Save your money if you can!

    Extremely disappointing

by eljuanca on 2014-09-22Sony Centre - Toronto

The show was about 70% him singing. The lyrics were somewhat funny, but if I wanted a singing-based show, I would rather go see an actual band. Some jokes were funny, but most were just entertaining. For being a headliner, this was the most disappointing show I have been to. First time I was wanting to leave the show way early.

A Narcissistic Romp through Unremarkable Lives

by Stung on 2014-06-16DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

Expectations were very high for this to be a great night of fun. Sadly, it was a narcissistic romp through the lives of two people who are not all that interesting. Their story as a couple is shared by thousands in Hollywood and none of those others have had the ego to believe that an audience would pay money to hear about it. We love their characters, not these two as people. If Karen and Ron had showed up for the whole show, it would likely have been more satisfying. The script was extremely lame. The two actors relied extensively on written notes. Really? People walked out of this show which is no surprise. And you expect us to pay money for this? I'd like my money back and the 2 hours I put into this event.
