Modern Greek laiko heartthrob Nikos Oikonomopoulos has quickly become an icon of the folk genre since winning Dream Show (Greece's American Idol) in 2006. With his silky voice and spirited performances, Nikos wooed fans and judges alike, building a strong foundation that has served him well on his way to full-blown pop stardom. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Greek singer Nikos Oikonomopolous started singing in early childhood, and by age 17 was performing throughout the country. In 2006, he won the second season of Greece's reality talent competition Dream Show, launching to regional fame virtually overnight. His 2007 debut album Proti Agapi was a huge success, earning him  Best New Artist at Greece's MAD Video Music Awards in 2008. With six albums and a host of hit singles under his belt, Nikos has fans eagerly awaiting new material and another round of international tour dates.
