    Great Show!

by Nevdogg on 2023-10-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

Surprised to see two hilarious opening acts. Nimesh was really funny, and his casual style appealed to all the various ages in there. Nimesh’s personal banter with audience members is a highlight. Would definitely go see him again!

    Funny but lazy

by Lila Rae on 2023-10-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

The show was funny but formulaic. Considering the show in Toronto was his largest audience I would have expected him to make more of an effort to tailor some of the jokes to a Canadian audience. For example one of his jokes referred to the “Indian Hierarchy” with “Liquor Store Indians” at the bottom. We don’t have Liquor Store Indians we have the LCBO. Overall I felt like there were a lot of recycled jokes. The weed jokes seemed lazy too. He also didn’t engage much with the audience. I liked the opening acts better than him. In particular the second comic.

    Not as funny as online

by Jay on 2023-10-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

Love his YouTube clips, but his standup act wasn't that funny.

    Not good

by Soha on 2023-10-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

Felt like the show was cut short because the comedian didn't like the audience not worth the ticket price

    Great show!

by mjs on 2023-10-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

My first time seeing Nimesh live, I didn’t know what to expect since it was a big venue and I knew his comedy had a lot of crowd work. So happy I went anyway! He had amazing jokes and was so adept at dealing with hecklers. Lot of dark comedy without the arrogance of some long-time comics. His openers were great too and warmed the stage without boring us. As an autistic person, I’m normally v sensitive to amplified sounds but this was a great experience and I didn’t need my earplugs to enjoy it. Love attending Meridian Hall. Great experience all around.

Needed smaller venue & no encore

by NA on 2023-10-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

Crowd wasn't particularly upbeat or vocal in applause. I think the show would have been more dynamic in a smaller venue. Toronto isn't the best crowd for large comedy venues (witnessed the same for Ricky Gervais and Eddie Izzard). The theatre staff and particularly the ushers were absolutely amazing though!

    30-Minutes of Q&A

by Shazbot on 2023-09-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I was taken to this show by my girlfriend with high expectations. The comedian was a writer on SNL and featured on the Jimmy Fallon Show. Needless to say, the show fell short. I felt like I had a bad case of mono because the guy nearly put me to sleep. His “jokes” got a couple snickers here and there. But couldn’t tell if they were genuine laughs, or just people getting restless as they readjusting in their seats. To go with the disastrous theme of the night, I think the comedian forgot his jokes because he had an “ask me anything” session with the crowd that lasted 30-minutes. I had enough after 10 and pled with my girlfriend to leave. She happily agreed, and by the looks of it so didn’t 1/3 of the crowd before us. One things certain -I still hold the title of the funniest guy she knows!
