Dirty bathrooms, minimal food food options and even then sold out or machine not working
Event itself was great, and an on time running schedule of events. The actual venue was jam packed and very dirty bathrooms that half the soap, toilet paper or stalls were working at one time . Cheer event đ Venue âšď¸
The events are consistently overcrowded, and seem highly disorganized. For future events, is it not possible to structure the performances and awards into time slots where there are a series of performances between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. as an example followed by the awards for those participants formed in that block of time? That would allow for those waiting for the awards to leverage the staging area behind the performance area and then quickly transition into the performance area to receive their award.
The first block of teams had way too many performances. This made the small venue very packed and hard to move around for families and athletes. Also there were many music issues and I wondered the whole time why the lights were all on and it was overly bright in there. Not the best for performing
This was the real life Bring it On. So much sparkle, so much attitude. High energy and entertaining. I was at the edge of my seat watching some of these routines. I never knew cheer in Canada was this major.
I attended this event that my 8 year old was participating in last weekend. It was extremely overcrowded. The arena was divided in half. One half was almost empty the other so packed you couldnât move during the awards. All I could think about was if there was a fire or an emergency thereâs no way any emergency services could ever get in there in time. It was claustrophobic and extremely loud and a very unpleasant experience. Then the getting out of the parking lot took almost an hour. Cars were jammed everywhere. Traffic controllers or police should have been used. I wonât attend another event.
Seating was poorly thought out. There was not enough seating for the Saturday am program. Jamming all the competitors and coaches on he performance surface was a dangerous safety hazard. Couldnât imagine the ensuing chaos if there was an emergency or someone pulled the fire alarm.
We were there on Saturday morning when most of the teams eere competing. I think the event could have been better planned. I think the arena had far too many people in it and that the awards ceremony could have been broken up so there could be a constant flow of people instead of that HUGE crowd. And the parking lot was HORRIBLE! It took us over 30mins just to get out. I really hope the next event is not like this one
We had a great time at the Ontario Cheerleading Federation event. Good vendors and very well run. Biggest down fall was the overpriced and awful food. We bought burgers and everyone had one bite and then threw them away as they were awful.
this was our first year an WOW! So well organized and so many amazing teams. Loved the inclusivity. We had a blast and canât wait for next Year!
