I attended the 4:30 show of Diane Nalini’s 4th Stage (NAC) performance with the Ottawa Jazz Orchestra on October 21st. What a knockout! Diane is always superb and this latest album is no exception. If you like a pure jazz sound with extraordinary musicianship and beauty, this is for you. The band has a beautifully honed sound that both weaves together seamlessly and shines during solos. Diane is a shimmering star in the jazz firmament. Highly recommended!!!
It was fabulous from the choice of material to the superb musicianship. We were swept away into another world of the roaring twenties and the birth of jazz. Adrian Cho kept us interested with historical info about the pieces. This orchestra features some o the best jazz musicians in town and in the country. Under the excellent direction of Adrian, Cho, this orchestra takes us on a beautiful musical journey. Can't wait for the next show
The performance was great and very interactive. Great take on classical pieces. The setup of the four stage theatre is intimate and allows to sip on a drink while enjoying the music. Would definitely recommend this show!
The lucky people who had tickets for "I Love Paris" with Adrian Cho's Ottawa Jazz Orchestra and vocalist Diane Nalini were rewarded with an evening of great music. Diane and the OJO were in top form and delivered a beautifully crafted blend of old and new. Everyone in the room could feel the magic. In all, a real treat. Adrian and Diane have raised the bar at the Fourth Stage.
