Loved the event. The venue was terrific but the coverage and reporting was really irritating and very unprofessional. Would have preferred a knowledgeable and professional commentator.
This was an outstanding show. The athletes performed well. My seats were discounted and I was worried we wouldn't be able to see anything, but it turned out to be better seats than I thought. The venue was an Panam Park at the exhibition and there was live music, food trucks (highly recommend waffle ice cream) and a Superstore for souvenirs. Compared to the scarborough aquatic centre, this place rocks!
For the AA competition I had amazing seats, 2 row behind the vault. During the competition I was right in the middle of all the action as I was able to see vault, beam and floor. The only thing that was tricky was watching all the routines as there were generally 3-2 routines going on at the same time. This is typical of a gymnastics event, although I thought this could have been avoided by waiting an extra few seconds before a gymnast went on an event. Ellie Black did great at the competition.
The venue was excellent - we were very close to the action. Female gymnasts are amazing - incredible to see their strength, agility and versatility.
I thought this event was amazing, great seats, great atmosphere, fantastic volunteers, well organized and Canada won gold. It was a life tine experience and I am glad I experienced it with my family.
It was such a pleasure to attend this event. We got there early with two young children. It was so easy to navigate the subway and Go Train systems and everything was well signed. There were volunteers everywhere directing traffic and service was amazing. Once we got to the park there were food vendors, lots of children's activities and even free ice-cream! The event itself was exceptional. The seats were great and everything was organized and ran very smoothly. A superb job and a congratulations to all event organizers and sponsors. I would recommend going to the Pan AM games to everyone!
Had a great time, the athletes were good, the atmosphere was amazing. Lots of assistance everywhere and the Go was free!!!
It was pretty good. We had a lot of fun. The volunteers are so nice. We had a fabulous time in the Chevrolet tent with the bike-powered cars. Buying the tickets, the website was confusing. I accidentally bought tickets to women's gymnastics when I really wanted to see men's gymnastics. Ricoh is a nice coliseum. Very relaxing and fun to watch.
i have to say being at a live event sure makes it special, and to be at a gold medal event even made it much better, CANADA'S ELLIE BLACK taking the gold, horay for ELLIE BLACK, THANK YOU PAN AM GAMES.
Not impressed with the games. Only went to see all- around finals for the gymnastics and it was not that impressive compared to what I've been too before (U.S. Nationals, worlds) wasn't much of a competition. 1 girl did a vault that I did as a level 8 gymnast! It wasn't anywhere near the top gymnasts in the world or the U.S. so was a pretty big disappointment for me. I think these pan am games are a bit of a joke. Not very impressive and TV coverage is terrible. Also the tickets were wayyyy to much for what I saw! And our seas weren't that great
lots to see from our seats too much going on to keep the attention of a little one had my grandson (5) being trained for competitive floor asked me where he should look lol
I live in Toronto and was excited to attend some of the Pan Am events. The Pan Am staff were amazing - professional, enthusiastic, great spirit, polite, positive, and helpful. Lots of events going on around the Toronto Coliseum which added to the atmosphere and feeling apart of the Pan Am Games. My only disappointment was the ticket prices, but was glad that the purchase of a Pan Am ticket included TTC to and from Pan Am events. I also wish that the Pan Am website and ticketmaster displayed more information about each event, such as which countries are participating and when. I found the information difficult to find and therefore did not know about the participating teams or what the event was about.
The tickets indicated "medal' and there was no medal ceremony at all. Tickets were way too expensive and the event lasted only one hour and a half. No worthy for what we paid.
We have never been to an event of this nature and all family members LOVED it - the location was great - easy to get to - the arena perfect - we could see well from anywhere - would def. go again - and hope to!
It was unclear on ticketmaster that the tickets we purchased were for the first session that started at 10:45 and ended at Noon. We weren't sure if we had bought tickets for the day or just on session. We wanted to see women's gymnastics and ticketmaster didn't specify if it was men's or women's, we had to look at the Pan Am schedule. Event was great but ticketmaster made it very confusing to purchase.
Unfortunately, this session was a bit short! I had given my Saturday ticket to a colleague and she said that session was a good two hours long. So I was surprised when it was over in one hour and approximately 15-20 minutes. Otherwise, the venue looks great and the session was very organized. It's great to watch it live.
Our experience was phenomenal from the nail biting competition of the athletes thru the exceptional venue Pan Am exhibition park Torontonions paid and volunteered provided us. The transit included with our ticket purchase makes me have to say a huge shout out to TTC streetcar drivers and riders( especially lines 505 and 511 ) who were so patient and understanding with me and my sightless sister I was aiding as this was our very first experience.

The event was great. The atmosphere at Ricoh was amazing. The only issue was that the medals were given in one corner with the athletes back to our area. Would have been better to do more central in the venue. The vault was also not in a great position to our seats. It would have been better when purchasing tickets to know where the apparatuses were going to be set up.
