Hit me with your best shot!

by Teleking on 2011-08-14Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Man oh man, I forgot just how many hits she had. One after another. All executed perfectly. This lady has not lost one bit of that amazing voice of hers. Incredible power and intensity. She owned the stage and the audience from the very first note and took us all on a magical ride back to the 1980's. Neil had an amazing guitar tone too. Humbuckers and Marshalls are a winning combination for a reason and Neil takes full advantage of it. Playing things a little heavier and a bit more aggressively really suited the material while providing an update to the overall sound. Loved the couple of acoustic numbers with Pat and Neil alone but the crowd was on their feet for the rocking songs with the band. Big sound for just guitar bass and drums and Pat reminded us all why she was the queen of the '80's. Fantastic show! Highly recommended!!

    Great voice - cheap show

by MeandMe on 2011-07-26DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

Pat Benatar still has a full strong voice. Neil Giraldo is still a great player. That said the show itself is simply them playing. There is no production whatsoever. The stage setup is a club setup. Fine for casinos but looks extremely bare on a large stage. This is a no frills show folks. While Pat Benatar's voice is still as good as it ever was - the show is a little tired. Drummer and bass player looked bored - especially the bass player. Not Myron on drums. Opening act was a local acoustic duo who butchered some top 40 classics. Just dont have an opening act as this was painfull. This was the lowest overhead show I have ever seen in a large venue. I doubt there will be a next year at the DTE. I dont want to complain but .... it was noticeably cheap.

by 2MAD on 2009-08-25MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

Great concert!!! Pat Benetar's voice is as good as ever and Neil Giraldo's guitar solos are fabulous. I particularly enjoyed Neil's piano intros on a few songs. Nice touch.

    great show

by stheman on 2009-08-17MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

Very good show The Donna's proved to be a good opening act although they lacked depth in their songs. Pat and Neil performed as if they were 20 years younger than they are. I was amazed how true to original their sound is. Very enjoyable show. The only complaint I have would be with the venue and the fact that the main floor was standing room only made for tired feet. Chairs would have been nice

Pat Benatar has still got it!!!

by fate on 2009-08-16PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

I traveled from Canada to Cincinnati for this concert and wow what a trip. While the temperatures hovered in the low 80's it sure didn't keep us down. A couple frozen wobbly pops, a cool breeze and amazing music made it all worth while. The PNC is indoorsy/outdoorsy, intimate venue and I felt like I was up on stage with each band rockin along. Pat sang some of her best songs and belted it out just as she did years ago. Her husband is an amazing guitarist and added his unique flavor when needed. Although I didn't know the first opening act (The Donna's), I became a quick fan. They were infectious and started the evening off perfectly. In fact I would have like to have had them play a longer set. Blondie as the second opening act is a whole show on their own. Debbie is as eccentric as she ever was and didn't disappoint. This will remain one of the best concerts I have seen to date... cant wait for next time!

Blondie & Benatar - True Greatness

by Ronnyroo on 2009-08-12Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

These are 2 of the best acts in the history of American Music. Both acts really are awesome. The show was fantastic ... Pat & her crew were on after the Donnas. They pounded through all of their hits and Pat's voice is just incredible. Blondie was on last ... and sounded phenominal. Deborah Harry's voice was perfect and she seemed to be really having a good time. She came out for the encore and said it was ok to come up (security kept eveyone in their seats up until that point). The crowd really loved it ... they went wild. Debbie sure was right when she said that this tour was going to be a riot. Her voice is so pure and pristine and she's so slim ... she didn't burry her self in clothing last night and you could really see how svelt the 64 year old bombshell is. Debbie just seemed so happy ... fun & playfull ... the crowd really responded. Following Pat Benatar is not an easy thing to do becuse she's a phenominal singer and lots of people seemed to be there for her but everyone really went nuts for Blondie ... The Blondie band sounds super crisp. Blondie perfomed several of they're hits and worked in Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Till You get Enough" - a beautifull tribute that would have made MJ himself tingle.

GREAT SHOW but only 1.5 hrs long

by cdndishman on 2009-07-22Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

Pat Benatar still a sexy chick with a great voice! The concert was way too short, only 1.5hrs, this was disappointing, they should play for at least 2 hrs with the amount of tunes she has. There was so much security, this was overkill, you would think the President was visiting. This is totally micromanaging, wake-up EMERALD QUEEN CASINO this is PAT BENATAR not GUN's N ROSES!! Reduce your staff it feels like a prison not a concert!
