A beloved folk rock singer-songwriter who was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, Paul Simon has become one of the most respected songwriters in rock music. He grew up in Queens, New York and developed an interest in baseball and music at an early age. Along with childhood friend Art Garfunkel, they formed Simon & Garfunkel in 1964 and scored a deal with Columbia Records, releasing their debut Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. They later won ten Grammy Awards and put out four more studio albums including 1966’s Sounds of Silence and 1970’s Bridge Over Troubled Water before parting ways that year. Simon’s self-titled solo album came out in 1972, instilling Latin and reggae flavors into his soft rock in its singles "Mother and Child Reunion" and "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard". 1973’s pop-folk album There Goes Rhymin’ Simon incorporated gospel and R&B and its follow-up, 1975’s Still Crazy After All These Years, reached number one on the Billboard charts and had four Top 40 hits including "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" and "My Little Town" with vocals from Garfunkel. In 1986, Simon released his seventh studio album Graceland, expanding his musical palette by infusing African textures and collaborating with South African musicians including Ladysmith Black Mambazo, which went on to sell over 5 million copies in the U.S. and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. His Brazilian music-tinged The Rhythm of the Saints was released in 1990, achieving commercial and critical success, as well as introducing world music to a broader audience. His latest album, the acclaimed 2011’s So Beautiful or So What was touted as one of the year’s best. He has toured successfully through the years, as a solo artist as well as jaunts with both Bob Dylan and Sting, selling out concerts to ticket holders across the globe.

He was amazing! His voice was all there! Made me cry
Took a couple of songs to warm up and as always in rogers to get the sound right. After that a fantastic performance of well known and loved Simon classics
It was so exciting to see master song writer/artist Paul Simon sing his creations. His casual, welcoming manner made it feel like we were part of his circle. Thanks Paul for sharing this time with us.
Paul Simon can fill an arena whether or not he is on his farewell tour. He sang many favourites and memorable songs. He has a fantastic band and every seat at Rogers was filled; unless they were up dancing!
Amazing show still crazy after all these years Would go again
Amazing show, great production, paul simon’s voice hasn’t changed a bit, even though he is 76, he took us through a nostalgic journey, w some new songs sprinkled in. He was backed up by very talented musicians. I will ride high on this show for a few more days
An Experience...Have listened to him for generations...one of my all time faves. His music is so diverse. Am thankful I had the opportunity to see him live.
Paul Simon concert was everything I expected and more. Fabulous evening!
I loved everything about this concert! The musicianship, the showmanship, the variety, the joyfulness of the performers and the warmth and personal nature of Paul Simon’s presence. The caliber of playing was superb and all the performers looked like they were having so much fun! I loved the juxtaposition of a high energy dance song like ‘Diamonds on The Soles of Her Shoes’ with the hauntingly beautiful arrangement of “Rene and Georgette Magritte...’ Mr. Simon has written so many fabulous songs over the years, with so much variance in style and energy. He is a poet and a philosopher and still very playful. The audience got to experience all of that that night! I also loved how Paul seemed to grow more youthful with every song. Truly one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I am SO glad I went (even though the ticket price was very steep).
Nevermind the bollocks, here's someone who cares foremost about creating music.
Loved every minute of the show. Great music, fabulous band, and Paul is wonderful.
An amazing show!! Paul Simon was on the stage for over 2 hours. Loved his encores, playing his guitar and singing by himself.
A true professional. As expected he delivered a wonderful evening and totally worth it.
Excellent performance. Didn't connect to a couple of the early set offerings, but 2nd set was super! So many great hits from the past , impossible to have done all of them.
had a great time played all the great tunes, would have loved to hear Bridge over Troubled water
Must see show. Had it all. We flew to Vancouver to see it and worth every penny.
This was the kick-off concert to his Farewell Tour. I am so glad I made the 1000 + km drive to be there. So hard to cover decades of brilliant music but Simon and his fabulous band members delivered. He added a number of songs that he’d never recorded as well as some brand new ones. He may never tour again but let’s hope he never stops making music.
Fabulous show. It took a song or two to get his vocals warmed up, but after that it was smooth sailing! For fans with a deep knowledge of Mr Simon’s catalogue, you’ll be thrilled for a few see tracks that have never been preformed live before, and the inside scoop on how they came to be. I think there were three or four encores. Truly a remarkable evening that I will cherish in my musical memories forever.
What a superb and memorable event to hear this icon of music Paul Simon & his amazing band of world class players. It was a family reunion event with my cousin, i hadn't seen in 25 years and an added treat to make the evening so very special!
Paul Simon is definitely worth watching! His voice was amazingly strong considering his age, and he put on such a long show.
