Prairie Oyster put on an excellent show. My wife and I had "table seats" so we were very close which added to the excitement. To those who didn't attend - your loss.
Prairie Oyster is the best. They work together so well on all aspects of their music.
The show was good. Although we had a problem with some ladies and their perfume? As a suggestion it would be nice if Festival Place was declared a scent free zone.
I have always enjoyed Prairie Oyster's music, and I was not disappointed when I went to their concert on Friday night. They can really make good music! At one point they said they were old, but boy, can they rock. They sounded awesome, especially their older songs. They played for 2 hours, non stop music. Just termendous. Will attend again the next time they come through.Thanks again for an awesome evening.
From the first act through to the last they kept us tapping our toes & rocking in our seats. Prairie Oyster played from 7:30 - 10 with a 15 minute intermission. Festival Place is a very nice venue, allowed for lots of interaction between the entertainers and the audience.
Man did this band blow me away not just a really good mix of new and old songs but a band who shares the spot light with each other by having other members sing lead vocals. After the incredible show they set up so their fans could meet and get things signed. Got to meet them and was a great experience!!!!
Prairie Oyster is a musically diverse (country, pop, blues), talented band and the best part is they're home grown. I was unaware that they had won as many awards as they have and their music is known world wide - a fact we should be very proud of. As well, they write most of their own music. It was a concert worth attending.
The played mostly new music that wasn't well known and the instruments were too loud compared to the words, not allowing the words of the songs to be heard.
Even though they were without their Fiddle player the music was great. I don't think I sat still through the whole performance as I liked the music so much.
Their show was awesome. I've seen them many times over the years and this was one of their best ever. The music didn't overpower the singers the way many of the banks do. I hope they come back soon as I will deffinitely be there. They have a good variety of types of music and don't stick to just country.
