Very good show.Ray Griif stil has it as an entertainer. He should be doing more apearances throughout the year. The songs were great as was the way he sings them
I HAVE LISTENED TO RAY GRIFF SINCE HIS EARLY DAYS. HE HAS A VERY DISTINCTIVE VOICE THAT IS EASY TO LISTEN TO. I LIKE HIS WRITING ABILITY AND HIS MUSICAL TALENT.
Top shelf...great selection of great songs written and performed by the master.Only criticism would be the volume....it was an aging crowd who would prefer a quieter presentation. Great band!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I was one of those people who in years past attended many, many fo the local dances (Chestermere, Shepard, Indus, Balzac etc.) where Ray played and sang so it was fun to step back in time and hear some of the older songs. It was also interesting to hear some of the songs that he has written for other artists.. Ray is a wonderful piano player and always a pleasure to listen to.
There were four of us who made an evening of it and went to Deerfoot Inn and Casino for dinner at Mohave Grill, then a little gambling and on to see Ray Griff. He was great. Although somewhat more frail than when we last saw him at the Chrome Show Room, he put on a tremendous show and does not seem to have lost anything in his delivery since his illness. He played and sang all our favorite Ray Griff songs - including many of those he wrote for others. His performance was almost two hours without an intermission. He was amazing! Here's hoping he continues performing for many more years. Thanks Ray.
My friend and I look forward to your next performance. We really enjoyed the concert and would definitely attend again. We are very happy that you are well now and that you can continue your wonderful god-given gift of music.
Have always enjoyed Ray Griff & glad to see him back doing what he enjoys most - he certainly is as good as ever & hope he continues to perform for us for a long time to come. He is still a gentleman in every way & thinks of his audience first. We enjoyed the concert very much & kudos to everyone involved who made a success of a wonderful evening. Hope we can see him again soon. Good luck & good health, Ray. Anne & Al
The man is amazing!...He is so talented, a song writer....guitar player, piano, sings, and entertainer to the public...the man is just amazing!.. Not too often do you go to a show , first of all for a very reasonable price, for "two hours" and enjoy every minute of it. We really enjoyed his show very much, and on top of it all, he took the time to sign autographs. After a two hour show most artists would say forget it, but he didn't . And also keeping in mind that he is getting on in years and he hasn't been well, but he looks great. The first time we saw Ray was about 30 years ago in the Jubilee Atuotorium in Calgary and he opened for I think Wilf Carter (I can't remember, just know that Ray was better and that's why I remember him.) Had a great time at the show, the dinner was great, and we even won a little money...Great Night thanks to Ray.
This concert was excellent and we would recommend Ray Griff's concerts to all country music fans. We would however loke to see tables for two offered as our table companions were very offensive when they found out they had to share their table which was for 4 people. But the venue is excellent and this concert was well worth the monies spent.
