Great concert. Rob puts on a great show and even did a Bowie cover!
Such an amazing concert and a great venue! I love the smaller venues and Rob did not disappoint!
I adore Rob Thomas since the first MB20 album. I’ve seen him twice at casino Rama, however I wish there was better seating and you could get closer for photos... you even look away from the seat and the security were taking you back... it was a great show though. I am sad he didn’t play anything from his last album...
Rob Thomas was incredible as always but the show was only 1:45 and we spent :50 leaving the parking lot. I was glad there was no opening act but could have been much longer. The casino crowd was boring (sat pretty much the whole time) and didn’t know his songs. Not a great venue - sound was not great and impossible to get a drink. 10+ bar lineup all night.
He played his ass off. Very engaging. Very talented.
This is the 3rd time I have seen Rob Thomas perform as a solo act. It was the best of the 3. The stories woven between songs brought a intimacy and congruence to the concert. His band was also suburb. Well done Rob. Look forward to Matchbox next year.
We really enjoyed the show and thought Rob Thomas, his backup singers, and the band were fantastic. Love the venue too. Easy to get there and park and you really can't get a bad seat. We found the bass a bit heavy for this show.
I have wanted to experience Rob Thomas live for over 20 years; solo or with Matchbox 20. Was well worth the wait - perfect voice, charismatic, incredible energy. First time at the venue and was impressed by the size and organization. Only challenge, we were on the stage right portion under the sound system and the sound was a little loud on the bass side drowning out some of the other instruments. Thanks Rob and band!
Rob and band had a great set of new, old, MB20 and cool covers. Sound and lighting was not great. Bass drum was not balanced and interfered with a few songs. Guitar not balanced. Lighting had a few hi powered spots aimed right at our section. Blinding.
I've been waiting years to see Rob Thomas in concert and he did not disappoint me....awesome show, great music, would love to see him again :)
Excellent show. Rob did not disappoint as usual. Great seats, great sound, great show !
Great voice and wonderful soul. I will definately be back to see him!
Another amazing performance by Rob Thomas! First time being to Casino Rama, great venue. The only negative was the completely inebriated a** behind us spilling beer on those around him and being vulgar and obnoxious. Love Rob Thomas on his own, or with Matchbox Twenty. Can't wait for the next show!
An evening of stories to accompany the engaging lyrics & music of Rob Thomas! This intimate evening was emotional and heart wrenching at moments, then uplifting and humorous at others. It was clear Rob's wife Mari was in the house as he raised his gaze to the box seats and serenaded his muse with a look of sheer love in his eyes. His talent is as immense as his passion for life and genuine manner. Clearly just one hell of a great guy...put on one hell of a great concert! Just loved it!
Not expecting an all acoustic show but wouldnt have had it any other way. His stories, his passion for music, song writing, his inspiration from his wife Mari, his dogs all stories including his love for Lionel Ritchie in high school!! I love a good story teller someone that takes the time to to tells why or how or what inspired them to write was awesome. 2 hours flew by and it left me wanting more. A little surprised he didnt too a few off his new solo album but loved all the MB20 hits and lots of songs off his last cd starting with Her Diamonds a song for Mari. Great job Rob, cant wait to see you again
Rob Thomas put on a great show. His voice is just as good live as it is on his CD's. He told stories that were sometimes sad, often funny, and always interesting. He played almost all my favourites (to be fair, I have a lot of favourites!). I definitely want to go and see him again, and you should too!
Although it was still neat to be close and intimate with Rob Thomas I could not help but think that it almost seemed like because of a tight schedule and lack of ticket sales - there was a show the following night in Washington state , that they just grabbed some guitars and drove in a car to play this gig . In the US the counting crows backed him up and there was a full band playing. But we got a few guys on stage playing acoustic guitar doing slowed down versions of his songs. I wish I had known before that it was going to be a campfire acoustic show and for the money I would have passed...
He did so many great hits! Lots of funny stories leading into his songs too. What a great venue for a small intimate concert! Loved it!
From the moment Rob walked on to the stage he had the crowd singing along with him intimate setting helped you feel up close. Related some great stories:)
The concert was fantastic despite a strange, rude and classless crowd at the concert (people continually interrupting Rob as he attempted to tell a story or two). The worst was a lady "who hoo'ing" as he was describing a story about how a song was inspired by cancer. Despite this, his voice was fantastic and I would highly recommend seeing him live. Excellent show.
