Rod Wave is a rapper and singer from St. Petersburg, Florida. Recognized as a pioneering voice of “soul-trap,” the TikTok sensation’s breakthrough moment came in 2019 when his single “Heart on Ice” went viral and became a surprise Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Soon after, Wave released his debut album, Ghetto Gospel (2019). Further full-lengths in Wave’s quickly growing discography include Pray 4 Love (2020), SoulFly (2021), Beautiful Mind (2022) and Nostalgia (2023), with each of the latter three reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The rapper’s fifth album, Last Lap, was released in October 2024 to critical acclaim.

    The only negative that ruined the experience a bit was that Scotia Bank Arena is a smoke free venue, but the amount of people smoking weed and vaping in my section was just disgusting to see. I guess the type of people coming to such a concert just don't care. Feel like the venue needs to make an announcement and be stricter. Not taking away from the performance , which was excellent. Extremely happy for Rod Wave and his achievements, hence the 5 stars.

    I never experienced a concert like that before, and I’m just so happy I got to. Rod wave was an amazing performer and all the other people that came out also did very well🤍.

    the fact i seen my favourite artist perform is definitely the only reason theres more than 2 stars lol, but the show felt unorganized. multiple intermissions, staff were rude and split up my group.
