Costume changes were phenomenal! Classic story with a few adaptations.
Really enjoyed this production of Cinderella. The story line is still set in the past, but modernized and with some tongue-in-cheek dialogue. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is not the Disney movie version of the story, yet still entertaining. The stage sets, lighting and effects were spectacular. The only negative is that the sound near the front of the stage was very poor, and it was a bit difficult to hear the artists speak and sing. This may be due to the Jubilee auditorium and/or sound mixing. Otherwise delightful and visually stunning.
Cinderella was great. It was the old fashioned story line which we weren't expecting. It was a fresh change. The actors did well and the props were fabulous especially the sleigh and horse. The ballgown change was so cool. We really enjoyed the show. Best seats we've had at that theatre, middle row centre, I think for all the hard work people do that they all deserve a standing ovation! I've decided no matter what I 'm going to give one!
The entire evening was fabulous from beginning to end! The acting, singing, stage props and costume changes were over the top... Love this show! ❤️
It held her attention the whole time and she's only six!!
The show was great, it had humor, the actors were very talented and the show as whole was enjoyable. However... it was a bit of a disappointment as I assumed it would have the same music as the original Cinderella and it did not have one of the Disney songs. I think it was a little misleading as it maybe should have been titled "A Cinderella Story" not "Cinderella" - to me that means the classic Cinderella. There were many little girls dressed up as Cinderella and I would assume expecting the same thing that I was. The show was great. In the past, other Rodgers & Hammerstein productions did reflect music from the originals, and if I would have known this one didn't, I probably wouldn't have purchased tickets.
Amazing costumes, props, quick changes, and of course voices, dancing, and acting. Every moment was special.
This show was way better than I anticipated. Absolutely loved it.
Such a great performance of Cinderella. Loved the music, costume changes, and dancing!
We thoroughly enjoyed this comedic version of Cinderella. It was very well done and very enjoyable ! If you get a chance to see it - you should !
Fun to watch. Lots of laughs. Different perspective on Cinderella.
Amazing stagecraft. The music was good, the costumes were brilliant, the performance was stellar, but the staging and scene changes and reveals were an unending delight. I can't recommend this enough.
Leave a good story alone!! The Disney version of Cinderella is magical but it takes Broadway across America to come in and destroy it if you love the original Cinderella you will hate this one don't waste your money and time I will think twice about wasting my money on future productions from these guys
We really enjoyed the show, it was very entertaining, with the characters making comments relating to real life which made the audience interact with oooh's and awhs ...as the trickery/slyness was observed! Very fun!!! Pleasant evening!!!
New take on the story was cute! Wondrous to see all the little girls and their escorts all princessed up and giggly!!
I am a huge theater fan but I was somewhat disappointed by Cinderella... The sets were lovely, the fairy godmother had a wonderful singing voice but the storyline was very removed from the original and I found that frustrating. I know it was far more politically correct, but it made it longer than it needed to be. We also had issues with getting out of the parkade... did not move from the 3rd level for 30 minutes!!
I'm familiar with a number of different Cinderella interpretations and loved the changes in this version and the songs that accompanied it. The costumes were gorgeous and singing spot on. A magical evening.
My granddaughters (age 10) and I were disappointed in this show. It would appear that we all prefer the Disney cartoon version rather than the Broadway version. Better luck next time.
Our whole family (even dad) thoroughly enjoyed this performance!
