    amazing

by wgIII on 2011-08-17air canada centre - toronto, ontario

Sade put on a spectacular show in Toronto (as i am sure they have everywhere. been a fan since the beginning but have never seen them live. it was well worth the wait. from the time they came on stage until the last encore they had me in the palm of their hands. Sade the band have been together for around 30 years and seem to be very close. you can tell that they have a lot of respect for each other and play off each other amazingly well. so talented. Sade the singer. what can i say, she was beautiful, graceful, classy and sounded incredible. the lighting and the ever changing staging as well as the use of the scrim screen were so effective. would love to see them again.

    Sade simply was stunning!!!

by FrankLisa on 2011-08-16Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

The evening started of with John Legend taking the stage for about an hour. Great band, the sound was terrific and he played a lot of his Hits. The wife was totalyy amazed. The downside was he only 2 discs for sale and the Wake Up disc has really only 1 great song. After about 30 minutes and a major stage reset, Sade started. Whoever did the sound check should be shot.... the bass was so overdriven that there were vocal parts of songs that were totally unitelligible becasue the bass was louder than Sade herself! The concert was a 50 - 50 mix of new and classic Sade songs. The band was super tight and a real pleasure to watch. Everyone on stage was doing some form of costume change during the concert. The use of multimedia kept us engaged for the entire performance. Sade herself was more than I had expected doing Mick Jagger style, side to side visits of the stage with the the audience. I would have hoped that she would have has DVDs or CDs for sale. My wife mentioned that she initially thought that the concert was goinng to be OK but in the end she was pleaseantly surprised she found so much to like about Sade and the concert as a whole.

    Sade with John Legend

by DomsReview on 2011-08-16KeyArena - Seattle

Sade was great. A very strong opening, and a little stumble in the second song (her voice was weak and off key) but great recovery and a very funky night. John Legend was amazing and worth seeing. Also saw him in the lobby of the Westin (nice pup!)

    will never forget it!!

by satin on 2011-08-15Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

SADE is a true legend. I grew up listneing to sade and was lucky enough to go with my mother & being 8months pregnant with my first child! The whole performance was remarkable, sexy and sophisticated. Sade and her band showed a genuine love of sharing the beauty of life in the form of music with the fans. I will never forget this event! the only down fall was the long intermission between acts. But was worth the wait and the length of her preformance made it all so worth while! Best show I have ever been to!!

Sade is such a gracious woman

by sargie on 2011-08-15Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Sade was super. not so sure about John legend, way too long to have to wait for Sade . Rogers arena should be ashamed - they took the lids off our $4.25 water and then the lights from her show kept hitting - BC ferried advert.

Very good presentation and visuals BUT the break between Legend and Sade's performances ie set-up time, was WASY TOO LONG, almost 40 mins. This meant the concert went on till almost midnight. Concerts should end around 1030-11pm, so people don't tire and lose their concentration, as well as sitting too long! This could have been easily achieved if the break were the "normal" 20 min break.

    The inimitable Sade performance

by Tintinpapa on 2011-08-15Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Sade Live performance at Vancouver was to a sold out crowd and her music transcends borders, countries, genders and ethnic backgrounds. Her music spreads peace, love, togetherness, compassion. Sade deserves the Nobel prize for Peace for her three decade effort and consistency of messaging. Sade performance proves that success in music can be won in today's business with grace, class, dignity, integrity and merits and without profane lyrics, sleazy wardrobes, hallucinatory agents and gyrating back-up dancers. The concert production, quality of sound systems, instruments and team of musicians were par excellence. None of the musicians were showboating or gloating. They were delivering stunning solos and face melting sax, bass and guitar, drum performances with ease. The production crew did their concerted work like clockwork. Well rehearsed They don't make music like Sade any more. Thank you Sade.

    Sade was amazing

by Countrygal on 2011-08-15Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Have been waiting to see Sade for 25 years so to say we were quite excited for the show is an understatement. We went June 30th to see her in Montreal and then wanted to see her again. We were going to go to Las Vegas but was very glad it worked out that we were able to see her in Vancouver as it is a beautiful city. We had great seats and were quite a bit closer than when we saw her in Montreal so that was a huge bonus. From the second Sade and her band members set foot on stage it was magic! They sounded identical to their studio recordings so that is a great treat. All members are very talented artists and there really is no one that can match or sound like these people. Their sound and style is truly unique and so enjoyable to listen to. A very enjoyable concert indeed.
