Country newcomer Sam Hunt has quickly made a name for himself writing songs for icons like Keith Urban and Kenney Chesney, but lately it's his solo work that fans are buzzing about. The former college football star cuts a stylish figure at his live shows, where his smooth voice and acoustic guitar strumming always get hearts pumping and feet moving. Whether he's crooning the catchy "Leave the Night On" or performing the song "Cop Car" that he wrote for Keith Urban, Hunt keeps the energy high and the tunes flowing at his must-see performances.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Georgia-born Sam Hunt was an accomplished athlete before making his mark as a country musician. A talented quarterback, Hunt was on the starting lineup of two universities and was even signed as a free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs before his love for music drew him to Nashville. He signed a publishing deal soon after landing there, and before long was working with some of the best country artists in the business. In 2012 he co-wrote Kenny Chesney's chart-topping hit "Come Over", establishing himself as one of the brightest rising talents in the business. In 2013 he made his solo debut with the single "Raised On It" before dropping a 15-track mixtape titled Between the Pines. The release contained "Leave the Night On", a Top 20 hit on the US Hot Country Songs chart. Since then he's penned hits for Keith Urban and Billy Currington, demonstrating a wide-ranging songwriting talent that has fans and critics alike calling him the next big thing in country music.

    Should have been the main event

    My wife and I went to see Luke Brian in Vancouver, BC. Sam Hunt should have been the main event. We still talk about it to this day. Sam Hunt, come back to Vancouver!

    The show was amazing! And the staff was really nice! I noticed the merch I bought had a stain on it and they exchanged it right away!

    Sound and over crowding

    Firstly, I’m giving 3 stars since Sam himself was great however the venue was awful. The sound system was either not equipt for the crowd or there were technical difficulties but we could barely hear anything. The Venue clearly over sold tickets people were standing/ sitting everywhere it was chaos I’ve been to a lot of shows at Budweiser and this by far was the worst experience I’ve had. Sam was amazing though no fault on him!

    The artists at this event were FANTASTIC. such an amazing show!! I really appreciated the effort and duration that was put into this concert. Especially on Sam Hunts part. Mid show he came to a secondary stage so those of us sitting further back also got an up close view and sound as well which was so appreciated! He puts on a great concert and I would see him again as well as Lily Rose and Brett Young. The one issue I had with the concert had to do with the location not the artists. So many roads were closed off because of other events and due to construction which made parking and traffic incredibly difficult. An entire main section of lakeshore directly in front of budweiser stage was blocked off so I couldn't get to the lot i usually park in by the CNE casino unless i wanted to walk all the way around which would've taken 40 mins. Crazy. i ended up parking on fleet street which was about a 15 min walk but i would appreciate better planning on that aspect.

    Okay, could of been better

    I went to Sam Hunt at Budweiser Stage on the lawn, it was a good show he came all the way up to the lawn and performed a few songs for us. The issue is that the speakers weren’t loud enough, we couldn’t hear what he was saying when he was talking. So I think this was a venue issue but it kind of ruined my experience. I’ve been on the lawn many times now and this was the first time I felt like I couldn’t hear what was happening.

    Sam Hunt was awesome. I’m a huge fan and thought he brought a really great energy and was very genuine. His band is amazing. Would love to see him again.

    Everything was great! Best concert I’ve been to in a while! Staff were super friendly, no lines. Sam Hunt put on a great performance and was very interactive with the crowd.

    Sam Hunt always puts on an incredible show & this was no different. Budweiser Stage is my favourite venue!
