  • Scissor Sisters wimp out

by mikw on 2010-09-20Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Granated it was cold at Stanley Park, but they ended up wearing winter jackets and tapped it cool onstage. The last time we saw them they were a force to be reckoned with on stage. Their warmup acts were brutal. SEE THEM OUTDOORS ONLY IN GOOD WEATHER!!

  • FABULOUSNESS!

  • Scissor Sisters put on a good show!

A good mix of great tunes and good showmanship... Jake's outfit was made for the ladies and I'm sure the ladies loved it. They pulled out all their biggest tunes and rocked out despite the downpour.

They were excellent! Real troopers in the rain. It was so wet, Jake had to put on a rain coat. And they were still awesome. Better live than recorded, and I didn't think that was possible.

  • Thoroughly brilliant performance!

Although it was pouring with rain throughout the whole show, it was definitely worth it....danced the night away, good sound, good energy....

  • A soaking wet party

by izikavazo on 2010-09-19Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first time I had aver seen the Scissor Sisters live. They were amazing. The sounds wasn't anything special, the Malkin Bowl isn't exactly an acoustic marvel, but it was good. The best [art was the energy. Jake and Ana kept us dancing the whole time, it was great fun.

  • Like Gene Kelly we were dancing in the rain!

by Stephberg on 2010-09-19Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

It was pouring, but the Scissor Sisters (while all bundled up) still put on a great show. The lasers looked fantastic in the rain, and it was a giant, soaking, dance party. A really fantastic experience!

  • Couldn't stop dancing!

by Soulrissa on 2010-09-19Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Per usual - the Scissor Sisters put on a phenominal show and despite that it was pouring rain... the crowd danced up a storm! Fingers crossed it won't be another six years before we see them again :-)

  • Don't rain on my parade!!!

  • Any Which Way

    by ctwood13 on 2010-09-02Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Any which way you put it the Scissor Sisters are fan-bloody-tastic in concert. They have such stage presense, they interact with their audience and I love the banter between the members of the band, but most importantly it is all about their music! The whole evening I was shaking my booty. This is the second time I have seen the Scissor Sisters in concert and both times they did not disappoint. Next time they are in Toronto, be sure to check them out. I will be there with my dancing shoes on.

  • Scissor Sisters at Sound Academy was Awesome!

by Joebluesky on 2010-09-01Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters rocked the Sound Academy to a very enthusiastic crowd Tuesday night. The energy was unbelievable throughout the set, and including the encore. This band knows how to put on a show. They must come back to Toronto soon! Don't miss them next time!!!!

  • Very entertaining

by didnotwanttogo on 2010-09-01Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Hi, I went to this concert to make my wife happy, but wow, was it entertaining. The main singer (Shears) was a bundle of non-stop energy, and he was dressed with plenty of skin showing, thus making him eye candy for all. The music was spectacular, and the venue (Sound Academy) was great if you got the VIP tickets to hang out upstairs to get away from the crush of people. It was even air conditionned. Great show!

  • Scissor Sisters rule!

by mbutterfly on 2010-09-01Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

They played most of their new CD, which is amazing, as well as their earlier fab songs. This concert was even better than their last, which was too long ago. I can't wait for them to come back to Toronto! They're superstars in Europe and Japan; too bad North American audiences don't recognize great talent when they hear it.

  • Awesome event

by Nikkif on 2010-09-01Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

They are one of the best bands for their kind of music right now. The whole band looks like a great team and the front man is just awesome. Fantastic performance and a night full of fun, well worth the money we paid for the tickets.

  • Scissor Sister are amazing!

by Zimbo on 2010-09-01Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show. Jake Shears' engergy is incredible, and Del Marquis was as adorable as ever. Sang all of the songs that the crowd wanted to hear, and had the crowd singing and dancing to every sone. Downside was the opening act, Casey Spooner. Absolutely horrible karaoke set, and he forgot the words of his last song. Terrible! Surely the Scissor Sisters can find a better opening act than that! Also the DJ set ran on for too long.

  • Sassy Sisters

by legin on 2010-09-01Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters are on top form, the show was so energetic and the best concert I have seen in a long while. I wasn't keen when I heard the venue they were playing at, but It has been renovated since last time I was there and was a lot better. Their new material is really good too and I will be definetley purchasing their new CD. All in all an amazing show.
