my daughter loved this show, all the music and lights were great....well worth the money
We took our 2-year old son to the show and he had a blast with the characters and music. The show was solid for the most part and having all the characters was a huge bonus. Our issues were the following: -During the pre-show, there were play sets for the kids to take pictures. There was no notice that the sets would not be available once the show started, it would have been nice to know that prior to going -Charging ticket entrance fees for infants is ridiculous. They don't even sit in their seats so the organizers need to address that issue
Elmo was a very fun show. My nephew was fixated on all the characters for the entire time! Highly recommended.
We liked the show the only thing I must say was the sound. It was terrible. I recommend a good sound engineer or technician. It's really hard to understand what they are saying with the music. Loved the lights and the colorful scenes.
Overall, the kids liked it. Was a good length...and good music to keep them entertained.
My husband and I took our almost 4 year old grand daughter to Sesame Street on Saturday afternoon. I don't know if our grand daughter thought she was too "mature or too cool" for the event, but both my husband and I enjoyed it immensely, as our grand daughter didn't interact. We were not impressed with her lack of enthusiasm, as almost all the kids surrounding us were so into the performance. At one point, our grand daughter forgot herself and clapped for Elmo, and danced a little, but then caught herself. The father of the little girl in front of us kept leaning over to his little girl who was really into the show, blocking our grand daughter's and my view. He was like a bobble head, which was quite annoying. The props in the foyer prior to the performance were excellent, however were covered up when the performance ended. We thought the $10 price of the Elmo balloons was high, but a lot of people were buying them. My husband and I were totally into the performance, and having had 4 kids grow up with Sesame Street, any one of them would have enjoyed it as much as we did! The costumes, sets, acting, music and character interaction in the isles were all excellent! We would go again with a child or children who are less fortunate and more appreciative than our grand daughter.
Show was great! Our 18 month old daughter was engaged through the whole show and clapped and danced along. So glad we didn't listen to a family member who told us that she was too little to enjoy it.
This event was awesome. It was so well done ! The characters were amazing. My little one loved it so much. I would definately go see this again. Highly entertaining.
Lovely time for the kids. Nice musical and fun time for all. It was sweet to see the characters interacting with the children. I would recommend this show to anyone with little children. Not too long and not expensive at all.
My 2 year old and Grandma and I had a blast. It was better than expected and WOW'd my son. Great event. Pretty good price. We sat 6th row. perfect seating.
The performance was ok. My 4 year old girls were somewhat interested but it did not have their full attention. My 8 month old boy loved it. Tickets were almost $40 a piece after fees/taxes. When you walk in they have flashing Sesame Street merchandise booths where the kids immediately flock to. We bought a cd for $15 but I refused to pay $15 a piece for the cheap plastic toys my kids were begging for. Half way through the show the performance stops and a guy comes walking out onto the floor with 100-200 Elmo balloons. About 40 kids immediately left their parents and ran up to the guy with the balloons. We were lucky that we were in the stands but we still felt the pressure as lots of parents went down to the floor to get balloons. All of the parents that came back with balloons to our section complained about the $10 per balloon price. This whole thing was just a huge cash grab. My advice- stay away unless you are rich and you don't care that your kids are spoiled!
I loved the show. I brought my 15 month old son and we both had a blast. I highly recommend seeing Elmo Makes Music to anyone who is considering it.
The event was highly entertaining and well put together, but the selling if certain merchandise such as the balloons at intermission seemed somewhat poorly timed. Would also have liked to see the kids encouraged to dance and interact with the characters a bit more.
All kids love Seasame Street (and most adults too). This show is by far the best show for kids out there. Well worth the price of admission.
They couldn't have really done this format much better. It was fine. Plenty of sets, lights, and fully animatronic mouths on the mascot-style muppet costumes. My 2 year old found it to be too long... by comparison, Yo Gabba Gabba and Wiggles concerts knew to quit earlier. My 6 year old liked the whole thing but the 2 year old had to go out to the lobby area for the last 15 minutes. My only real thumbs down was that whatever broadway musical person put this together decided to add in an arbitrary new human lady character who sings dozens of long, Broadway style (Rent, A Chorus Line, Annie) type show numbers all by herself. So this reduced the muppet characters time in lieu of hollow faux feelings songs by some lady that me and my kids didn't know or care about. The rest of it was great. The pre-show games and displays were a great idea, including tables with coloring sheets and crayons, plus characters with buttons that triggered recorded greetings.
It is a very fun event for children, specially if they love Elmo and Sesame Street like my son. I wish we had more events like this in Vancouver area.
Last year we went to Sesame Street Live Healthy Heroes and that one I found slightly more engaging for the kids. Elmo Makes Music had some slow parts where the kids would tune out. However overall it was a great show for kids who can stay seated on your lap or in their seats as the ushers would come and grab the kids who were dancing in the aisles. My 17 month old wasn't too much into it, found it quite boring but sat on daddy's lap the 90 mins - I don't think he is a Sesame Street fan as his brother is. My oldest son wants to go back and see it again and cried at then end when Big Bird left.
It was exciting, fun, and upbeat. Some of the music they sang were familiar to most kids so they were able to sing along.
It was a fun show, and we had a great time. Our two year old didn't blink for the entire first half! I have to say...we were really disappointed that our $10 balloon didn't even make it 24 hours. We have one from 2 months ago that is still floating - and we got it at the dollar store!!!
