I had a fantastic time from start to finish! I was able to meet actual skaters who were competing as well as former skaters and coaches. Our seats were perfect, and the competition ran perfectly on time. I would do it all again in a heartbeat!
Always amazing to see live figure skating! Great lineup of skaters. A word of warning, though, Thunderbird arena is a SUPER cold ice rink.
Purchased not cheap seats centre ice a few rows above where the judges / tech panel sat … was surprised how much of the ice surface (and therefore the skating too) was obscured by the setup of scaffolding / risers / black drapery … even the upper tier of judges had to stand up and lean over in order to see what they were judging … I estimated 20% of the ice surface was not visible from where I sat …
It was good experience! Great skaters! I hope to see them again!
I initially would give 5 stars but 1 got deducted because this event location does not allowed any outside food or drinks which I can understand, however their security guards are quite rude, the way they demand all outside food and drink to be left at entrance was like talking to criminals, even any small snacks. This events technically was at least like a 8-9 hours long if audiences are watching both events on same day, however the concession choice at the venue are very limited and all about greasy, deep fried food, price was ridiculously high as well. Basically if audiences not wanting those food and drink they had to hold their hunger and thirst for the entire day
Show was great. Food choices poor - wish for healthier vegan options.
Tickets isn't cheap. Should have special /cheaper price for skate Canada member. It can benefit a lots younger skater. Better then empty seats.

The event was wonderful and have seen some great skating by some very talented girls and women :) Can’t wait for next event

This was a phenomenal event. Great crowd. Incredible skating. Polite audience. So nice to be back in this kind of environment again. Well done Skate Canada.
We loved the entire day. The competition went smoothly. There were no big delays. I liked the convenience of the facility, how close the bathrooms were.

We were very happy to be able to attend this event once again, and are so glad to be able to watch in-person rather than on TV! It was well-organized, and it was great that we could bring in our own snack food. The line-ups at the concession booths were very long, and they had limited offerings, usually not too healthy. They ran out of things too -- lots of demand. We had to spend some time waiting in line for the washrooms, as usual (for females attending skating events). Thank you!
Skaters were super. Seats were great, a very good value for money spent. The concessions were an absolute disaster. Dreadful service and astronomical prices. I wonder what fans from other provinces/countries thought of that. Not much. Skate Canada should do better. They are renting the place!
I think it was amazing because their outfits were pretty,the music was flowing and great skating performance by all skaters.
Figure skating competition was great, amazing performances! Venue... long lines for very very limited assortment of junk food! It is a shame not having even a Tim Hortons! This was an "international" event!!! Bringing food from outside is forbidden, but then...what can we do to have a bite inside after a long drive to the venue and then a long event inside???!!! Not sure why the venue is even renamed to Fine foods centre ..... Disappointed.
Great Event overall. We love the sport. I wish there would be more healthy food options for guests that spend the entire day ( including practices ) on the premise - instead of cotton candy / sugar fudge / giant pretzels…more Fresh Egg or chicken sandwiches, veggies dips, etc. 4 days on Fries, pop corn / Arena food is a long time…
