About

"SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW is to clowning what Cirque du Soleil is to the circus." VARIETY

"SNOWSHOW is an unmistakably unique, unmissable comedy masterpiece, childishly thrilling with innocent amazement and lyrical beauty. As the show ends, no one wants to leave the theatre."

Star of "Four Weddings and Funeral" and Daily Express London critic Simon Callow said, "SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW is the single most beautiful thing I have ever seen in a theater in my life."

    You should see it

by DT on 2023-12-26Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

I saw this show first time I 2008. I use any opportunity to see it, and I saw it 5 or 6 times. Each time it is different; however, emotions are the same: you feel yourself completely happy at the end. Moreover, you will understand that to be happy worth you nothing.

Not the best show - confusing

by JV on 2023-12-26Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Certainly a different show but it seems that you have to do background research to understand what is going on. My wife and I were confused as to what was going on most of the time. We will not be recommending to anyone.

    Clowning Around

by Clowning Around on 2023-12-26Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

It was very entertaining and included all audience members young or older kids that never want to grow up, (that's me) clapping and cheering and enjoying the snow. There were many surprises throughout the show. It was truly a unique experience. I recommended it to others who then bought tickets.

    It was so unique

by Bethdirt on 2023-12-26Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

It takes a bit to get into it. Young kids are into it right away. It was sweet and unusual. The ending is epic. I loved it.

    Spectacular, imaginative and creative show.

by Trish on 2023-12-26Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

The show itself was spectacular but the organization and initial entrance into the show was the worst I have ever experienced. We were told to wait outside for almost 40 minutes because of 'capacity' issues which turned out to be that they were having technical difficulties. As a result of this, the show started 30 minutes late. The show itself was one of a kind. It is definitely a must see regardless of your age. I can't remember the last time I laughed this hard.

30 min in a line outside the venue

by Carla Baptista on 2023-12-26Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Due to the venue capacity and overlapping shows, we were left outside in the cold for about 30 min. We didn’t appreciate it, mainly because there were many kids and elderly.

    Good time

by CB on 2023-12-25Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Very artistic clowning. Not worth bringing somebody under 13, they won't appreciate the nuance.

First part of the show was cutting

by Viewer on 2023-12-25Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

I saw this show many times, I love it. It’s make you feel so good. On Friday , December 22 the show started 30 min later and that’s why (I think) the first part was very short. The clowns didn’t went to the audience, didn’t do the funny things with umbrellas… Also, in the end of the show only 5 huge air balls were thrown to interact with audience , but medium and small ones no. So, even we had seats in the orchestra we can’t participate. My friend went on Sunday for the show and they had everything I was talking above. My question: if the show started late it can be finished late as well, but in the full program. We paid the same money and expected the same quality. I was a bit disappointed. Thanks.

    Best show ever

by Margot on 2023-12-25Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

I had seen the show ages ago and loved it so I splurged on tickets and took my daughter and son-in-law and two grandchildren aged 9 and 11 to see it. The littlest one was crying because she was tired and didn’t want to go out and my son-in-law was sceptical about a clown show with no dialogue. But once it started, they were entranced. It is so magical and the finale is unbelievable. Everyone’s faces were so joyful and we couldn’t stop talking about it the whole night and the whole next day. My sceptical son-in-law and my too-tired grandchild claimed it was the best thing they had ever seen and probably would ever see. A superb way to have a white Christmas! A couldn’t recommend it more. Big tip: try to get tickets close to the stage and don’t miss out by going out in intermission 😀

    True magic of theater

by Danka on 2023-12-25Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Visually beautiful, unique, very imaginative. Simple, gentle, moving, innocent. Great audience participation: not only for children but all of us young at heart.

    Lovely Show, Excellent Clowning

by nancyb on 2023-12-25Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

I highly recommend Slava's Snowshow If you go, be sure to get orchestra seats that are not under the balcony, if you want the best experience. You will literally become part of the show. My only negative would be for the theater itself. The Elgin does not have staggered seats, which means that one seat is in front of the one behind. If a very tall person sits in front of you, you won't see anything. I was unfortunately in this situation and since I am a short person, I had to weave around and get partial views of the action. It was still a wonderful show.

    No snow

by Jackie S. on 2023-12-25Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Very slow moving show. That last 60 seconds was the best part. Very disappointing as I took my grandchildren as a Christmas treat.
