Songwriter's Series Tickets

I attended my first Songwriter's Series this past Saturday (July 28th) and was blown away. The hosts and guests are jovial and extremely talented which makes for a highly entertaining evening - and for the ticket price you cannot go wrong. One feature I enjoyed that others may not agree with is that the singers sit on a stage facing each other so regardless of where you're sitting you will have someone's back to you. This is a positive because the feeling is that you're sitting in on a jam session between friends and colleagues...a memorable evening. Spoiler alert: you will likely not see the 'star' country singers, these are the one's behind the scenes who write the hits.

I have been to three of these sets. They have all been amazing. However, this one had special impact with the presence of Keith Anderson. A few of his choice songs have had immense impact on my life, my view of relationships and getting over heartbreak. It's soulful to have the origin of the songs told to you - the emotions that evoked the creation of the song in the first place.

Saturday's show was phenominal. Dean and Lee seemed a little nervous at first but once they got started it was an amazing show. I have been to many of the Songwriter's shows over the years from when they first started doing them at Casino Rama and since they moved to Fallsview Casino and this one rates up there with one of the best. We attend the main one with the 5 every year and have been to 5 or 6 of this new series and have enjoyed them all.

The show was memorable, touching and beautiful, would highly recommend going and I will definitely go again!!

Excellent. Great interaction with the audience and fellow preformers. Many laughs, great stories, and audience participation. Entertaining as always.

The songwriters themselves have written many great songs... BUT .. they did not sing them . They tended to sing perhaps their favourites but were ones that no one had ever heard of. I was very dissapointed. The last song( Live like you were dying) was the best song of the entire night. I liked the venue...and the fact that each writer told the story behind the song... but I never saw the person that had their back to me..It would have been nice if perhaps they had changed seats ...even once
