I saw Star Wars A New Hope in Concert by orchestra. It was an absolutely amazing experience and would recommend it to anyone. It was a wonderful way for us to see Star Wars and would happily go again,
I truly enjoyed the Orchestra that came to the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton Alberta on February 15-16. Went both nights. I was also very fun to see the 501st Badlands Garrison in costume.
So hard to believe you were listening to orchestra Live and not part of the movie. AMAZING! Looking forward to the next installment Jan2025!!
I don't think there is a more iconic score out there. I was surprised with how much the symphony played during the movie. Music really is an integral part of the story telling. The orchestra was great.
great concept, please do the whole series but at a much less staggered timeline (dont want to wait a full year for this again)
This show was so amazing. Neatest experience of my life. I can't wait for Empire Strikes Back next year.
Didn’t know what to expect but we were not disappointed . My two younger boys loved every second and we already bought tickets to the next one coming Jan 2025. It’s a must see !
The show and concert production was excellent! The orchestra was beautiful and spot on in its timing, well done. We loved the fact that the movie score was prominent over the dialogue. Having subtitles was also a great touch. Love going to the Jubilee for shows, it’s always a great night out. My only, two very small and minor points of issue; were the screen size, I wish it was a tiny bit larger and the other has nothing to do with the production; many people were still pouring in and getting into their seats well after the show started; some coming 20 minutes late, it was just a bit annoying to have to get up or have our view obstructed temporarily. Again a minor inconvenience. We’ve already got our tickets for next years showing of ESB!! Thank you!
We had a fantastic time, and there is nothing like having the movie playing with the orchestra playing the music live. Looking forward to seeing Empire Strikes Back this way.
The ESO experience took a movie I d seen a hundred times and made it new and exciting. It made the old new and for one of my guests an introduction to Star Wars - believe it- was a totally immersive adventure. Empire comes Jan 2025. I m not sure how much a second experience will impact but to add the live musical experience to arguably the best movie of the franchise should be well worth it !
Impressive, to say the least. The FILMharmonic Orchestra was excellent. Incredible way to enjoy a classic such as Star Wars. Even for non Star Wars enthusiasts (and I was accompanied by one) had a very enjoyable experience. Loved it. Absolutely recommend for a great date night or for the whole family. Bravo!
If you're going to a concert at TD Place, try booking a seat as high and as close to the middle as possible.
Was not able to get into the event because they did not have enough parking available for guests even though they had an available parking completely empty. I was not impressed with how this event was planned out at all.
Watching star wars A New Hope, with so many other fans was awsome, they found the same things funny that I did. The orchestra was amazing, the music was perfect.
That show was magnificent! It felt like the first time I saw Star Wars! It was magical! Hope they will return with Empire next year.

It was a wonderful experience, you forget the orchestra is even there. I was just a little disappointed that the iconic bar scene music wasn’t played live. Loved every minute of it regardless.
While I enjoyed the experience, I felt that the audio suffered significantly. The orchestra was plugged in and the sound came out of 1 or 2 massive speakers that also played the movie. The result, was that we completely lost the benefit of a live orchestra playing wind, percussion and string instruments. I think this could've been better planned and implemented on the production side. I definitely wouldn't go again for this reason. I'd rather attend an orchestra playing the very same music - or just watch the movie at home.
I enjoyed the performance of the orchestra it is a different way of watching a movie. I enjoyed it.
Liked that evening from the beginning to the very end. Worth my money.
