We went to see the Pretenders. Chrissie was amazing. Too bad the crowd was a little rowdy and showed little respect for a great performance. Stevie looks and sounds fantastic still. Both bands were incredible. The lightshow and staging were very imaginative and high end. Definitely got our money's worth.
Not happy with the show. Stevie came out and decided that she didn't want to play the hits..... People left early and who stayed fell asleep! Stick with Fleetwood Mac Stevie.... Its the only way i would EVER see you again...
Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders were great! The music was amazing! Stevie Nicks, well I cant't say enough about her. The voice great, the graphics very original. It was an exciting and well put together concert. Both ladies gave 200%. Wow!!! I
Super show! Love her and liked that she chose to do songs not so known. Loved the storytelling.
The Pretenders were exceptional with Chrissy Hyde leading them - outstanding performance. Stevie came on stage and told a story throughout the show that was engaging and seemed personal. Her performances were were spectacular and it wa sad to see the show end.
Stevie Nicks decided she didn't want to play any of the song we knew and loved. She instead played songs that nobody had heard before! I guess that would have been OK but she also had to tell a story about each one and therefore only played about five or six songs and talk the rest of the time. We traveled 6 1/2 hours to see he and rented a hotel. So for the almost 300.00 it cost for the night it was VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! I would never pay to see her again!!!
Stevie Nicks, was very good. She played all of her hits, and some unknown songs she has never recorded. However The Pretenders were amazing. They played for about an hour and fifteen minutes, and the energy was just great. They were just as good Tuesday as the first time I saw them in the 1980's.
The two legends of the rock seen for over 40 years,did themselves proud,lots of great Pretenders hits,followed by an intimate evening with Stevie,great songs she wrote and were hits,songs she wrote and we really didn't know much about them,blended in nicely,great performance and it was nice to hear her speak pretty much after every song instead of rushing through the set like she does with Fleetwood Mac.Glad I was there,great way to end my 2016 concerts.
Found the performance to be boring. Might have been my rault as she did songs from her "vault" which as it turns out was from a CD she recorded a short time ago. Her voice was amazing but not knowing the songs I had trouble staying focused. People taking photos was annoying and distracting.
Stevie put a huge effort into providing an excellent show. She did not take the audience for granted in any way.
Stevie was incredible. Beyond my very high expectations. The venue is also the most beautiful one I've ever been to and I go to A LOT of shows. The only downside is that there are several other venues in the area and a ballpark which happened to all have events that night. Took me an hour just to get to the highway when it should've taken 5 mins.
Stevie was is top form. She talked allot to the crowd about her experiences with the soldiers, and how she wrote Soldiers Angel. She has always tried to be up close and personal with her fans. Like, she said, " I write these songs for you's". A good mix of great hits with her new songs. I have never been disappointed by any of her shows, my favorite singer/songwriter. A special treat with Vanesa Carlton opening the show. The Fox theatre in Detroit is an amazing place. The artistry of this place is beyond words.
Saw Stevie on Friday, July 6th at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and as usual, her voice was fabulous! Pros: Theatre was exquisite - would love to go back to experience the beauty of it again. Stevie performs with all her heart and soul at every concert I have seen. She is spectacular! Cons: Drunk and obnoxious people! Limit alcohol sold! There were people escorted out of this concert for drinking too much. Also, had a hard time seeing the stage (even though our seats were good ones on the ground level). There were so many people walking up and down the aisles all night, it was hard to see her. Might as well have stayed home and watched a concert on YouTube! When Vanessa Carleton played, we could barely hear her sing. There were so many people talking all through it, we pretty much missed her whole concert! Yikes!! Stevie said right off the hop it was not going to be a "best hits night". People did stand up to the songs they knew and sat down for the ones they didn't know. 5 stars for Stevie, 3 for the rest...
What a beautiful lady Stevie Nicks is. I, like all fans, fell in love with here the first time I heard her many years ago and nothing has changed. She can captivate you with her voice. Her beautiful lyrics come to you as though she is speaking directly to you. The outdoor ampitheatre was perfect as was the warm night and clear sky. It made for a great evening for me and my beautiful companion. We drove 9 hours to get there and would do it again in a heartbeat.
From the moment she stepped onto the stage to the final, fading note, Stevie Nicks wowed, wooed, and rocked her adoring fans. She is without equal or comparison. She stands tall amongst the greatest of female voices. She has remained true to her music and her style, iconic sixties with black lace dresses, flowing shawls, body twirling and spinning, arms outstretched, her music, her lyrics, her voice - all as if frozen in time. Her fans filled the room with their love and admiration, respect and joy, applause and cheers for Stevie's performances never disappoints! It was truly an honour and a privilege to have been at this concert and witness first hand the talent of this person. May Stevie's voice and creative spirit bloom another 40 years....for in our hearts, she'll live forever!!
