STROMAE IN CONCERT:
Belgian newcomer Stromae is exploding onto the scene with his catchy dance hits and signature stagewear. Although minimalistic, Stromae's live performances are enthralling as he dances enthusiastically around the stage in his wildly patterned button-downs singing French-language hits like "Papaoutai" and "Alors on danse." Whether he's taking on different stage personas or delighting fans with his soaring voice, Stromae's impressive showmanship proves he's an all-around entertainer. Back on the road, he'll treat fans to one exciting performance after another with his rap-infused electronica on his upcoming tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Brussels, Paul Van Haver, a.k.a. Stromae, got his start at an early age, studying music theory and picking up the drums at age 11. As he got older his musical tastes broadened, and he became more involved in the rap scene by forming the group Suspicion with his friend J.E.D.I. The duo parted ways soon after, leading Stromae to pursue music full-time and release his debut EP Juste un cerveau, un flow, un fond et un mic... in 2007. Since then, he's topped the Ultratop charts in his native Belgium with two hit studio albums, won a number of awards including Best Belgian Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and collaborated with hip-hop giants Kanye West and the Black Eyed Peas. His French-pop dance jams will continue to shake up the rap game as he sets out for a string of hit-filled tour dates.
Il y avait une belle énergie dans la salle. Les décors sur la scène étaient magnifiques et Stromae est très talentueux et divertissant. Seul petit problème, on ne voyait pas grand chose de la scène! J'ai l'habitude qu'il y ait des écrans dans la salle pour qu'on puisse mieux voir de loin les artistes.
Stromae nous a permis d’être avec eux…pour chanter, pour danser même du haut de la section 333. WoW
C’était une expérience incroyable. C’était ma première fois a Centre Bell et c’était une belle expérience. Stromae est un excellent artiste et je considère ce concert le meilleur que je suis allée. J’ai eu la chance d’être tout devant la scène et c’était magique.
Techniquement, le spectacle est superbe, bonnes chansons, bon show, public au top. Tout est réglé comme du papier à musique, mais j’ai trouvé qu’il manquait la relation entre Stromae et son public. Le rappel a été simple 1 reprise de la chanson en a capella et merci au revoir. 1h30 de spectacle, un bon fonctionnaire de la musique.

Bonjour Le concert était intéressant mais le son était très mauvais mais surtout avec notre placement nous n’avons rien vu car la vue était bouchée par des grosses enceintes ! Ce n’était pas spécifié lors de l’achat et ça fait très cher pour n’étendre que le son moyen. L’artiste semblait avoir mis tout ce qu’il fallait c’est dommage

Stromae is not only a good singer but he is a genuine entertainer. First ever singer I've seen thanking his whole staff from his band to his security guard. I just hope he can make a break in North America. His songs, lyrics, beats are just so true to life. He deserve to have his name on top of the chart.
Stromae is more than a singer, he is an artist! From the moment he got on the stage to when he finally stepped off the energy was high and the audience riveted. Combining humour with amazing lyrics and a fantastic control of his body I was amazed. I loved him before, but I can truly call myself a fan now! Do NOT hesitate to go see him live!

Stromae was energetic, funny and genuinely a good singer. The songs sounded great. It was not only a good experience musically but the visuals, the lights, the videos were amazing. Totally would recommend seeing!

Stromae's Vancouver concert was excellent -- polished, energetic, sophisticated. It had great music, fabulous dancing, and a very original show. He is an excellent entertainer and I appreciated his moments of "conversation" with the audience. He is funny in both English and French! Wished we had got tickets closer to the stage so we could see more of Stromae himself... often he was dancing out of view. Would sit closer next time-- not a good show to see from the balcony. Loved the African undertones in much of his music. Was a sold out show, and I'm sure if the English residents realized how great he is, he would have filled a much bigger venue. Overall, an excellent show!
This show blew my mind. It was so unexpected. Stromae has such an amazing stage presence. So much energy and improvisation. I really felt like I was attending a once in a lifetime event. I can't wait to see him perform again. He is fantastic!

Stromae was simply amazing, each song had a specific environment that was created by the amazing lighting, audio, visuals and of course, Stromae's incredible performance skills. He sang all of my favourites, and was overall an excellent show! I'm a much bigger fan now :)
What a delightful treat! I'm a true fan of his talent! His charm and charisma are amazing!! His angelic voice is so captivating. He loves his audience and respects his fans. His sense of humour is truly appreciated. This is my third Stromae concert, and I was a bit disappointed with his Toronto fans . I witnessed impatience and some rudeness, and hostility around the bar area. I wish that everybody would leave their "baggage" behind the threshold and enjoy his fantastic music and superb performance!
