Congratulations on a great show Tanya, it's good to see that you still continue to belt out the tunes of your youth in the middle stage of life. I hope you're still singing when your 90! You know what they say...start each day with a smile on your face and a song on your lips!
Tanya told us when she came out on stage that she hadn't been on stage in atleast 2 years and wow her come back was great. She was a little rusty at the start but then she got her spunk back and gave it her all. I really enjoyed the show and would go see her again for sure in the future. The only thing I would complain about is that we couldnt have cameras. The casino does not allow them. I wish we could have them so then I could show everyone pictures of her and prove how close I was to the one and only Tanya Tucker!
What a great Lady, and her voice was still awesome!!!! Wish she would have done an encore though....a couple more songs would have been terrific!
This is the fourth time over the years that I've seen Tanya and she continues to be awesome. She is down to earth and just gives you an hour and 20 minutes of non-stop music. The show started promptly and she sang a great variety of her hits ending off with the song that started it off for her. She spoke a little of her family and it was very evident that she misses her father greatly. She sang some tunes from her new album which I purchased just after I got my tickets for the show and love it. I am so glad she came back to Rama and I hope they don't wait another 2 1/2 years to have her back. Through the years images change, and it is still great to see that regardless of those changes, Tanya still continues to have a little sass and still struts her stuff in true "T" fashion. She is and always has been my very favourite country singer!
I really enjoyed listening to all of Tanya's music, but what I enjoyed the most was hearing some of her old songs. I found that she put on a really good concert and would go back to Casino Rama to see her again.
Tanya Tucker was truly an amazing show. The show started on time which is a bonus, and it was an hour and a half long, which was also good, I was just starting to get cramped from sitting, although I had really good seats, floor row F, the eighth row, and a bit to the left of the centre. her band opened for her with a vocal song, and then she appeared in all her glory, beautiful, vibrant, sexy and a voice to match that of her younger years....All of her songs were great and a good variety of past and present and new releases, her voice had that appealing sound of raspiness, and was a joy to listen too, bringing back memories of my younger years. Her presence on stage was that of a very sexy lady. She also spoke well and interestingly of her life in former years and the present. I loved every minute of her show, and it was the second time I saw her. She is truly an amazing performer and singer.
I would highly recommend seeing Tanya Tucker, it was great to hear her after so many years and she is still keeping it real and living her truth. Energetic and Lively.
Tanya sang straight for an hour and a half. Did old songs and some from her new album. She was friendly and spoke to the audience like we were friends. Loved the show. Disappointed there was no CD's being offered for sale.
Tanya Tucker put on a show that was unforgetable, one of the few real country singers. Being at the Casino Rama was great, they really know how to put on a show. The ushers were very helpfull and curteous. We would travel there for a show again. The seating was exceptional, I purchased the tickets for my Wife and she loved it,

I think she sang amazing and was great with the audience. I know she hasnt performed in awhile but she seems great and put on a great show.
This girl still has what it takes to provide her audience with a spectacular show! She sings from her heart, and has a voice unlike any other in the country music venue. I have been listening to her since her very first hit back in 1972, when we were going through the same stuff in our turbulent adolesence! She certainly did not disappoint the crowd in her choice of songs.........I would love to be going back for her show tonight, if only I could!! Bring this wonderful vivacious lady back on stage more!! Thanks Rama for another great show!!!
Tanya was very good, great stage presence. Her band needs more personality - no smiles - didn't look like they were enjoying performing.
That was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. I have listened to Tanya since she started. I was so happy when she did alot of the old songs. I was in seventh heaven. One of my friends went with me and she enjoyed the show as much as I did. I want to know when she comes back again to Canada. I will be there for sure.
she is very outgoing,shares stories of her kids with you.her voice has never changed .there wasn,t one time that you didn,t understand her.she is a great entertainer.her voice when she sings is just unreal.she sings some of her old songs plus knew ones a real mixture of songs.One of the best concerts we have seen at rama. We would definitly go and see her again.
This was a very good show. Tanya is full of energy & displays it well. Some of us wondered why she didn't give her age, but then again she is a woman & they don't like to give their age.
Friday, August 7th/09 Well, we went to see Tanya's concert at Casino Rama last night, & it was the best I've ever seen her do! Per ususal she was runnin' on Tucker Time but was only about 10 mins late coming out on stage. Of course the band kept the suspense going by playing 'Trouble' over & over & looking in the wings, and all of a sudden out she walked! Dressed in Black with lots of Diamonds & other bling! She looked beautiful, and was in the best voice I've heard in concert from her...very strong & powerful & she didn't miss a note or a beat! She launched right into 'Some Kind Of Trouble". I'll post the entire set, but first I'll share a few things, she was her funny, chatty self as only TT can be. She absolutely loves coming to Canada & especially to Casino Rama..they treat their entertainers exceptionally well she said...so guess I can expect many return trips It was a sold out show, and I expect tonight will be as well. Tanya talked quite a bit about 'My Turn' & how great the folks at Time-Life have treated her...says new material is coming soon! Also talked a lot about her kids & how they are all talented, but doesn't know if any of them will use their talent....more or less meant it was hard for them being in her shadow...and none of them want to be a 'junior. There didn't seem to be any M & G going on....if there was I couldn't hang around & wait, as my son, Greg drove & he was tired after working all day & it's about a 2 hr. drive. I did get some pics, but have to get them off the camera yet, so will post them later.
