The Black Keys are a garage rock duo from Akron, Ohio made up of lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Upon dropping out of college, the duo began making a number of self-produced albums together, including The Big Come Up (2002), Thickfreakness (2003), Rubber Factory (2004) and Magic Potion (2006). The band’s fifth studio set, Attack and Release (2008), marked a turning point — not only was it their first project to be recorded in a professional studio, but they also found a producer in Danger Mouse, who would go on to become a frequent collaborator. The Black Keys’ commercial breakthrough occurred with the 2010 release of Brothers and its 2011 follow-up El Camino. Both landed in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 and the former earned the band their first Grammy win for Best Alternative Music Album. Their 2014 LP Turn Blue became their first No. 1 album on the all-genre chart, with later studio sets including Let’s Rock (2019), Delta Kream (2021) and Dropout Boogie (2022). The band’s twelfth studio album, 2024’s Ohio Players, will be supported by their 2024 International Players Tour.

the black keys sure can deliver!! so much soul, such a good time!
Best show I have seen in years!! They never slowed down for a second.
This was by far one of the best concerts ive ever been to. They rocked from beginning til end, with 2 awesome encores. My ears rang for more than a whole day after the show. The Keys kick ass! Bottom line!
Incredible show. Amazing musicianship and sound. These guys know how to rock a show. The intense heat only added to the great music and overall they blew my mind.
Overall, I thought that the Black Keys were phenomenal, but that being said they had to stop in the middle of their song to reprimand some idiots acting like "college frat boys who don't know how to treat a girl". However, they sure do know how to get a crowd riled up!!! I've never seen such a rowdy Toronto crowd...hahaha
so awesome. dan is a total underdog rockgod. amazing stage presence. great live sound. overall pretty darn rad.
These guys are incredible and the addition of their friends on keyboard and bass is awesome! Too bad for all the people that missed out! They need to play a bigger venue next time. Would love to see them at the Molson Ampitheatre next year, just putting it out there you know.
Okay, there are two ways to look at the show. If you hadn't attended their concert the previous night, then this would have been an amazing event that you would remember for a long, long time. If, on the other hand, you had attended their show a night earlier, the show would have been good, but terribly disappointing. They performed almost the exact same setlist as the night before. Due to a problem with the crowd (that resulted in stopping Stackshot Billy halfway through), The Black Keys seemed in a hurry to leave. They were off the stage by 11:30, and played far fewer songs than the night before. They also ignored the crowd chanting for certain songs. Overall the show was okay, but I did feel as though I should have only gone to their first show.
I have seen these guys 3 times now, and would go back again and again! I love Dan's voice and Patrick's intensity on the drums. Would love to see them play "The Lengths" one day!
Thats all. Death to Danger Mouse. He ruined a former 2 piece blues duo and made them a 4 piece soft rock band played on virgin 99.9
They sound better when it's just the two of them. But amazing energy. Not sure how they could play in that heat. Way loud, but good loud, largely clean.
Coldplay was unforgettable!!! Coldplay was unforgettable!!!
The improv and jamming done between tracks was sensational!! Can't wait for the next show...Come back soon!
Finally, finally got to witness The Black Keys live in Toronto. These guys are nothing short of amazing. Punky blues & rock? I'm not sure if these guys can be put into a category, or making one up on their own! Either way, I would totally see them 2 nights in a row & get a different, yet equally amazing performance. The sound I might add, was awesome as well! Black Keys Rule! Finer Toronto, ON
The way they pump up the crowd by playing around with their arrangements was incredible. Such great players and performers. The whole show was like a dance!
Simply an awesome show! My favorite show of the summer so far, and I've seen a boatload. I'm already trying to figure out if I can get to Buffalo to see them next month
The opening band, The Morning benders were the worst. I am surprised The Black keys wouldn't have picked someone better. Having said that The Black Keys were amazing. Great mix of old and new. Liked the fact that they brought in some extra musicians to play the new stuff. The venue was Kool. With the exception of a few idiots who thought moshing would be appropriate, the crowd was right into it and having a great time. i would definitely go see them again.
Surpassed my expectations. Dan Auerbach showed his versatility and broad range playing a number of guitars. Rivaling some of the top guitar players currently. Drummer Patrick Carney kept things rolling with a strong performance. Quite different from White Stripes, however, they share the raw type indie sound. The show lasted about 1 hr 45 minutes and the Black Keys played before an enthusiastic appreciative audience who were as loud as the show at times with the cheering and the last call for an encore. I would see these guys again. Great show. The opening act warmed up the audience, The Morning Benders have a bright future ahead of them. They have a unique sound. The drummer uses a variety of percussion sounds through different kinds of percussion beaters and sticks, from a kettledrum stick to a maraca handle. Inventive.
black keys put on a ridiculous show, pounding out the jams for 2 hours. GO SEE THEM, THEY RULE!!!!!!
Amazing show - great energy and a wall of sound Dan Auerbach has huge stage presence and is one of the greatest guitarists I have seen
