THE DEAD DAISIES IN CONCERT:

Australian-American hard rock outfit The Dead Daisies has been a touring juggernaut ever since forming in 2012, and their blitz continued in 2016 when KISS tapped them for their Freedom to Rock Tour. It's easy to see why KISS wanted the talented rockers along for the rideā€”every time The Dead Daisies take the stage, they conjure up arena rock's heyday with lighters-in-the-air performances that put powerful musicianship front and center. The band's rotating lineup features members of legendary hard rock groups like Mƶtley CrĆ¼e, Thin Lizzy, and Whitesnake, and the skilled showmanship The Dead Daises bring to the stage makes every performance crackle with live-wire energy. Ticket buyers looking to "Lock 'N' Load" with these hard rock vets can expect plenty of head-banging fun any time they kick out their anthemic tunes in concert.Ā

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Dead Daisies was formed in 2012 by a group of seasoned hard rock players living in Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia. They recorded their self-titled debut in a mere two weeks and garnered critical acclaim almost immediately with the song "Lock 'N' Load", which was co-written withā€”and featured an epic guitar solo byā€”legendary Guns N' Roses axeman Slash. The band spent most of 2013 touring in support of big acts like ZZ Top, Aerosmith, and Jane's Addiction, and in early 2014 they embarked on their first headlining tour of Australia. By year's end they had added two successful US tours to their resumeā€”one with Bad Company/Lynyrd Skynyrd and one with KISS/Def Leppardā€”and in 2015 they became the first western rock band to perform in Cuba since the Obama Administration reopened trade ties with the island nation (the band chronicled their Cuban adventures with the 2015 album and documentary film RevoluciĆ³n). With their aptly titled third album Make Some Noise generating big buzz in 2016, The Dead Daisies have fans everywhere ready to rock out to the new tunes at one of their hard-hitting live shows.

Good bands, good show, bad sound

by Carlos on 2023-09-06The Studio - Hamilton

Fun show, great musicians, great songs but the sound was too loud and it was difficult to hear the voice properly. The opening band Harm & Ease was great and their sound was better, maybe because they were not using so much power which was unnecessary for the place. I would gladly go see the Daisies again but hopefully the sound will be improved, sometimes less is more.

Always a treat to see The Dead Daisies and I am thrilled that John Corabi has returned!! Venue access was great, beer selection good. Band sounded awesome, as usual. Was a great evening.

    Poor sound

    by No name on 2023-09-01

The opening band Harm and Ease was terrific. The dead daisies on the other hand were horrible the sound was not good you could not hear the vocals very well at all it was just loud. I was going to get tickets for big wreck at the same venue but if the sound is that bad donā€™t ever want to go back I have seen the dead daisies before and they were pretty good this was very disappointing and not worth $50 we actually left early. Also the venue felt like they turned the heat on to try and sell more beer. It was pathetic

Two solid rock and roll bands!

    by Ray on 2023-09-01

Great show, in a tight atmospheric venue. The Studio should be bringing in bands like these two on a much more frequent basis than they are currently. Give us more excellent concerts!
