About

THE DELTA SAINTS IN CONCERT:

Blues rock sextet The Delta Saints began as a purely live band without any intention of recording their music. They’ve released many celebrated albums since then, but they still shine brightest when rocking out on the stage. In concert the band blends old-timey elements like harmonica and slide guitar with modern lyrics, funky  electric basslines, and driving drum beats, and the resulting sound is at once familiar and refreshing. Their passionate, fiery mix of Delta blues and Southern rock makes for a rollicking live show, and the band always gives 110% as they tear through boot-stomping cuts like "Death Letter Jubilee" and "Swamp Groove". Ticket buyers looking for some good old-fashioned blues with a modern twist won't want to miss The Delta Saints as they serve up their swampy, funky tunes in concert.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Delta Saints was formed in 2007 by a group of Nashville college students. After making a name for themselves as one of Music City's finest live acts the band self-released the back-to-back EPs Pray On and A Bird Called Angola in 2009/2010. An extensive international tour followed that saw them play more than 150 shows in a year, and in 2011 their first two EPs were collected and repackaged for the European market. In late 2012 the band launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their proper studio debut, and in 2013 they delivered with Death Letter Jubilee. The album was a hit with critics, drawing comparisons to blues rock favorites like the Allman Brothers and The Black Crowes and leading to another round of touring. The Saints followed up in 2015 with their sophomore album Bones, another critical masterstroke that fans are dying to experience in concert.
