    Not what I was expecting

by Serenity27 on 2017-12-04Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

After a while music just sounded the same. Didn’t stay for 2nd half. Orchestra and choir did a good job but overall Symphony was boring.

by LaineyYo on 2017-12-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Legend of zelda has seldom been a disappointment and the music is no exception! If I could go back in time, I'd go and watch/listen to it again!

    A fantastic show!

by Sassybat on 2017-12-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

This show was amazing from start to finish. I haven't played a ton of the Zelda games ( Only finished Wind Waker) but I still loved every minute of it! The music is beautiful and the way it intertwined with the gameplay was awesome!

    Entertaining, but could've been better

by UpintheMezz on 2017-09-25Paramount Theatre - Seattle

I enjoyed the experience for the fact that I got to see Legend of Zelda performed by a live orchestra. The performance of the orchestra was spot on and well done and the acoustics in the theater were perfect, even from where we were in the mezzanine. We could see everything clearly and it was great to see the music of some of my favorite games paired with the visuals. The conductor was lively and entertaining, but quiet. It would've been a more enjoyable experience if he actually talked to the audience and introduced some of the upcoming music rather than leaving us to guess. This performance lacked the emotional response that I get from Final Fantasy performed by a live orchestra. I would recommend it as a one-time thing, to say you did it. But I am not sure that I would go again ALSO, I WOULD ADVISE AGAINST LOUD CONCESSIONS LIKE CHIPS. BECAUSE OF THIS IT CREATED AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH THE WOMAN SITTING IN FRONT OF ME. I was polite enough to open my bag of chips and eat most of them during intermission, then I tried being polite by eating between songs or whenever the music got increasingly loud. There were no complaints from anyone else, but EVERY TIME MYSELF, OR SOMEONE IN MY VICINITY would EAT the woman in front of me would glare at me to the point where I got completely uncomfortable. She would say NOTHING and just stare. I even apologized and then asked her to mind her own business after the sixth time! and she continued to glare at me in a harassing manner. Made for a terrible experience the rest of the night.

Oh my, where I do I even begin? Every piece that they played sent shivers down my spine!

    Beautiful, Funny, and Entertaining!

by AmbzIAm on 2017-09-18Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This performance was amazing to watch, even from balcony seats! I enjoyed watching gameplay along with the beautiful music of the symphony. It was really nice to see them also switch from gameplay to the orchestra itself occasionally so that the audience could see the musicians in action (however not so much that we miss out on gameplay/LOZ content). I believe the humour within the conductor was a nice added touch to the show, as well as on screen messages from Miyamoto and other guests. I really appreciate the passion and effort put into this event that helped make it become 110/100.

This show was something I've never experienced before. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this show to anyone that loves Zelda, or the symphony in general.

Amazing show. They cover a wide range of the series' history and play a lot of fan favourite songs.

    Amazing performances, boisterous audience

by soundsnc on 2017-09-16Sony Centre - Toronto

I enjoyed the music so much that I wish the crowds were a bit quieter. If anything was ruining it for me it, it was a delicate solo being totally over burdened by someone yelling "Woo!" in the middle of it. This happened "a lot". Still, the performers worked so hard and did such an amazing job, this deserves your attention either way.

    Fantastic Performance. Worth every dollar!

by PSFanMike on 2016-09-26Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

This concert was simply amazing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The visuals coupled perfectly with the sound from the symphony itself. I really didn't want the experience to end!

The repertoire of music was very memorable and nostalgic. Unfortunately the selection of the venue was disappointing. Speakers were used to amplify the music. This resulted in loss in purity of the music from the instruments. With speakers, other minor noises were present during the performance. Overall the performance was great. Will only go back are listen again if it was held at the Orpheum Theatre.

They know how to represent the essence of Zelda.

by Panda90210 on 2016-09-26Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The seats I had were not the best but the acoustics were perfect. However, I wished they had better merchandise. The poster was ok but the shirt just sucked.

    Amazing!

by sushiho1ic on 2016-09-26Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The Legend of Zelda, Symphony of the Goddesses was amazing! Would definitely watch it again! Music was amazong with the graphics on screen in sync. Was bummed when they ran out of merchandise when I got up to the front of the table though so make sure you get their earlier if you want to get something! Great atmosphere for LoZ fans, saw some cosplayers and the conductor was entertaining. Just was a bit confused as to when it was ending as everyone would clap as soon as a piece was finished though... but overall a great experience!

    Wow!

by Totofan on 2016-09-24Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver, BC

Aside from hearing my kid play these games over the years I really don't know much about the game. That said, the music - and symphony orchestra in particular - along with the screen and game action behind the musicians, all make for an incredible evening's entertainment. Really enjoyed it, on the pricey side, however. Bring your DS to interact with others in the audience, it will make it just that much more fun. A lot of people dressed up as well.
