Fantastic music, great band. Will definitely go to see them again
50 years of recall! A wonderful journey once again…
Musical Box Amazing on Selling England by the Pound. It is my favourite of their tribute tours. I got me an XL tee as they shrink but it is the opening song of this tour - watcher of the sky. The only thing I would say is that the voice or singer needs to be louder so that we can actually hear what is said and that low volume and uncomprehensive was evident in the 1st song. Maybe it is also due to the Danforth which has sound bouncing all over and is not great for that containment. But other that that.. these musician are amazing and especially if you like prog rock - and old Genisis classics👍👍👍!
The Musical Box delivers the quintessential Gabriel era Genesis reproduction. I’ve been seeing them at least once a year, since the 90’s, and have travelled a few times to catch their shows. They never disappoint!
If you are lucky enough to have Musical Box come to your city, don't hesitate, jump on the opportunity to enter the time machine and go back to the birth of prog rock. These guys are so good, you'll cry.
Mesmerizing, thoroughly professional concert. Blown away by the talent and presentation. Can't wait to catch The Musical Box again.
Good show, worth seeing if you're a Genesis fan of the Peter Gabriel years. The guitarist on the far left hand side had constant issues with his equipment. The technician spent more time on the stage than some of the performers. The singer and drummer were hands down the best performers of the group. Hopefully the guitarist can gets his act together for the remainder of the tour.
I'm so grateful to these performers for their extensive study of Gabriel-era Genesis and delivering with such accuracy and fluency. Many a time I was transported back in time, lost in the cyclone of memory and inspiration that has been my long-time infatuation with this music. There were a few sound flaws here and there -- one being the opening number suffering from low levels on lead vocals, burying them under the exquisite Collins-impressionist drumming, The mix improved with the subsequent numbers, although vocals in The Battle of Epping Forest mid-set were slightly low, underplaying the singer's impressive vocal athletics. While lead guitar was occasionally quieter than I'd like, for the most part it came forward beautifully with stunning Hackett solos and mind-boggling fret tapping. I also enjoyed "seeing"how hard Mike Rutherford had really worked, with "Banks'"keyboards equally staggering. Overall, an unforgettable evening that would easily thrill any 70s-era Genesis fan.
They’re spot on the show is amazingly entertaining as well as technically brilliant. Right from the original stage backdrop’s to the same vintage keyboards and guitar pedals, even the bass pedals Rutherford used. Vocals and costumes were also accurate. 5 stars
My 4th Musical Box show. Anyone who witnessed any one of the Genesis Peter Gabriel era concerts must see Musical Box at least once. I've seen the last three tours, I can't remember much of the first time I saw them! But I did see The Lamb, Live 1973 and Selling England BTP 50th anniversary. I get as excited seeing them as I was seeing and listening to Genesis back in the early 70's, I honestly don't care much for the post Peter Gabriel Genesis, because after Gabriel left so did I. The musicianship of these guys is amazing, recreating and performing these classics from such an iconic period of one of if not the best prog-rock band ever is beyond description, they are a must see. at least once if you are not a-die-hard fan.
The Musical Box delivered the goods once again, as they always do. In my opinion, the Selling England by the Pound tour captures their best selection of songs, including not only the highlights from that album, but choice cuts from previous releases, featuring their 23 minute tour de force Supper's Ready. Superb performances from all, and plenty of costume changes by the lead vocalist. Extremely entertaining- a must for fans of older Genesis material.
What a show ! The Best ever! Dont miss it ! They are all great musicien !
Nous allons retourner les voir à chaque fois qu’ils nous feront l’honneur de revenir!!!
It is what you live years ago. Live it again if you want si.
The sound, the old magic , the costumes, the musicians, the croud, Perfection
Extraordinaire.
I have seen them six times and this was probably the best show I’ve seen. They did only songs from nursery crime, foxtrot and Genesis Live the good old stuff. Every tune was bang on.
Absolutely amazing! They are incredible. Perfectly recreating Genesis at their most finest.
Great, enjoyed the show as if the real band was there.
