    Poor

by redmrB on 2016-03-21Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

These were no where close to the Nylons of the past. The jokes were flat, could not get the crowd going. The seats are smaller than a 727 and too may Cougars with their cameras taking videos with lights blazing.

    Nylons still great, but ...

by Shalamar on 2016-03-21Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

... I'll just get this out of the way. They didn't sing "Kiss Him Goodbye". That was the one song my husband and I were dying to hear - we've seen them live three times previously, and "Kiss Him Goodbye" is always their signature final encore. Knowing that this was their farewell tour made it all the more meaningful, because we knew we'd never hear them sing that song live again. And - we didn't hear it this time. They had several encores, but not that one. We couldn't believe it. Apparently they "ran out of time", which I guess is understandable, but they found time to sing Beach Boys songs. Having said that, the rest of the concert was very good. Alas, though, the guys are starting to show their age - they goofed up the lyrics to "The Longest Time" (by Billy Joel). I guess that's why this is the Farewell Tour.

    disappointed

by disinterested on 2016-03-21Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

The Nylons aren't what they used to be. Ive seen them numerous times over the years and loved them. This time, not so much, Noi high tenor or high falsetto and songs in a lower key. Very disappointing. The crowd eventually warmed up to them but my daughter and I didn't. Pity.

Absolutely fantastic! Truly enjoyed it and hated when it ended. Of course the Lion sleeps at night was the highlight of our evening.

We enjoyed the concert. Their harmony is wonderful. A little too much talking by the performers.

    Sheer "Nylons" Wow

by BigEl on 2013-12-13McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg

The Nylons continue to wow their audience with their "down to earth" stage presence and enjoyable, clear and on tune singing of all their songs. They had a good selection of Christmas tunes to their new tunes but most importantly the audience's favourite old time goodies. An enjoyable evening from the Nylons.

    Fab evening with The Nylons!

by Dinofangirl on 2013-12-13McPhillips Street Station (casino) - Winnipeg

The Nylons are always amazing, and I never miss a chance to see them when they are in town (or playing anywhere I happen to be traveling). Talented, fun, high-energy group and their music has meant a lot to me over the years (fan for 20+ years). Well worth venturing out in the -40C temperatures and putting up with the shortcomings of the venue (see below) to see one of my favorite groups - please do come back to Winnipeg soon! Very fan-friendly group, as well - always love their signings and the chance to say how much I enjoy their music! :) The venue, however, leaves something to be desired - could hear the casino machines quite clearly between songs and my seat was at the front, right at the stage - can only imagine what the noise was like in the back rows. Also, the table arrangement makes it somewhat awkward to face the stage. Would love to see them play a proper theatre venue, as they have in the past.

    The Nylons were classic!

by Anonymous on 2013-12-13McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg

They did a good mix of their classic oldies, new songs and Christmas tunes. Their banter between songs was quite cheesy, but it's what I was expecting.

Meh. Disappointing... Seemed disorganized. Not enough Xmas songs and they didn't know words to requested ones.

    They are always a blast

by Anonamoose on 2011-12-05Festival Place - Sherwood Park

Improv singers at their finest. Very upbeat show with lots of audience participation. They are always entertaining and are very talented. It's nice not to go home with my ears ringing because it is so loud.

    The Nylons

by Ozzyjaye on 2011-11-29McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg

Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. This was my 4th time seeing them, last time in the early 90's. I think the line up then was a little tighter but this line up was far more personable. Wished they had done a few more older tunes like Up the Ladder but they did do The Lion Sleeps tonight which was spectacular. Great job guys.

The Nylons & The Odessey Project were FANTASTIC

by goldaugirl on 2010-12-06Lindsay Academy Theatre - Lindsay

I have been a fan of the Nylons for many years and I enjoyed their show so very much. Only Claude Morrison is from the original group but this group is so very cohesive and fun loving and talented. What a show. I bought their newest 2 CD's, had them autographed and came home and played them. (and home is Richmond Hill, ON) The Odessey Project are a very talented group of Kawartha Lakes young people. Their sound is beautiful, indstrumental and vocal numbers. When they thanked the Nylons 3 times for allowing them to be the opening act, I was very proud and thought, "These kids are typical well mannered young Canadians" All in all a wonderful evening!
