THE OFFSPRING IN CONCERT:
One of the most famous punk bands of all time, The Offspring are still igniting audiences with their explosive live shows. In concert the band delivers impassioned performances of audience favorites like “Come Out and Play”, “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)”, and “Gone Away”. With spitfire drums, catchy basslines, and distorted guitars, the band blasts their way through their songs with an adrenaline-fueled blend of polished musicianship and devil-may-care attitude. Coming off their hugely successful Smash: 20th Anniversary Tour, the group is keeping their hot streak alive by bringing their incendiary live shows to audiences around the world.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Offspring formed in 1986 in Huntington Beach, CA with original members Dexter Holland (vocals/guitar), Greg K. (bass), and Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman (lead guitar). Behind the strength of hit singles “Come Out and Play”, “Self Esteem”, and “Gotta Get Away” the band’s 1994 breakthrough album Smash launched them to international superstardom. They followed up in 1997 with the platinum-certified Ixnay on the Hombre, adding the hits “All I Want” and “Gone Away” to their impressive catalog. Their eclectic 1998 album Americana proved that they were one of the era’s most potent and versatile hit-making machines with the serious tone of megahit “The Kids Aren’t Alright”, which stood in stark contrast to humorous singles like “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job”. Since then the band has continued to record and release material, including the double-platinum Conspiracy of One in 2000. While working on a follow up to their 2012 album Days Go By, The Offspring continues to bring their music to legions of fans worldwide.
Great venue, Fantastic Show. Felt like 2000 again.
This was an awesome night! The venue was great, the crowd size and energy was just right. Simple Plan and The Offspring both put on an epic show. It was the best concert that I have attended…ever!
What a great show had an amazing time was nice to see a band i grew upto the energy was insane higly reccomend seeing these guys again
First time going to the Grey Eagle Casino. LOVED IT!!! The general admission standing room gave the feeling of the punk shows from the 80’s. Simple Plan was great and The Offspring played an amazing show. Great energy from the crowd.
First time seeing offspring, was amazing and awesome packed, and loud !!!!
SOOOO GOOD. SO, SO, SO, SO, SO, SO GOOD. Engaging, fast, funny- sounded AWESOME. Highly entertaining- one of the best concerts I’ve been to!!! Would have been nice to know there was no coat check at the venue…in winter…in Calgary
I have wanted to see the offspring and simple plan forever! It was like jumping right back into my teens! Loved it
Wish the offspring would have played more of their top hits. I was very bored after simple plan left the stage.
We had the most wonderful time at Simple Plan and The Offspring. My cousin came 4500 kms to go to the concert. The sound was great. There was the right amount of people in there, it wasn’t too crowded. The crowd was amazing and not a problem. The only complaint we have is the security at the end of the night using excessive force on our DD which was totally uncalled for. But we won’t let 6 over zealous security guards ruin a great night.
Bought the Smash album in 1994! I never would’ve thought I’d be rocking out to songs from that album 28 years later! This was my 5th Offspring show….hopefully not my last because they were AMAZING!!
Parking was organized, didn't wait in line for too long, everything started on time. It was my first time at the venue and I really liked the atmosphere. The bands were phenomenal. The only thing I noticed was when The Offspring came on their sound wasn't as great. Maybe because I was a lot closer to the stage? But it seemed like they got it figured out after the first couple of songs. It was a real blast (from the past)!
Great Venue - Amazing Sound. No lip syncing here! Both Simple Plan and Offspring sounded amazing live. Set list was on point. Video and graphics on point. Loved the interactive kiss-cam/head-bang cam during intermission. Would definitely see them again!
loud, sing along, great warm up band simple plan. my whole family was there and enjoyed it. ages 25-62. Seen many people old and young there. old fans bringing there children. keep rocking Offspring we will be at your next gig for sure here in alberta or british columbia. cheers
Everyone at the concert had a blast and I would see them again.
The show was great. Crowd was amazing. The first half of the show Dexter’s mic seemed to be having issues when he played guitar almost sounded like his vocals cut out. Good time over all though. Nice to see an open floor crowd without seating and everyone was in god spirits
The Offspring did not disappoint! The music was great, fast paced & entertaining! Simple Plan was a great warm up act also. The sound was great at Rogers Place. If anything both bands could have played a little longer.
Greta show, easy to get in. But higher prices than the hockey game, ridiculous.
What a great concert!! The Offspring put on an AMAZING show! I absolutely loved every minute of it!!
It was an amazing time , would definetly see them again if they come back to Edmonton. Such a rush seeing music live
Sound for simple plan was great however they turned the sound up even further for the offspring and all you could really hear was the instruments they had those way too loud compared to the vocals and you could hear them sing very well at all. I wasn’t aware the goal of a concert was to just leave us with hearing damage rather than enjoy the music.
