About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

First time going to the Grey Eagle Casino. LOVED IT!!! The general admission standing room gave the feeling of the punk shows from the 80’s. Simple Plan was great and The Offspring played an amazing show. Great energy from the crowd.

SOOOO GOOD. SO, SO, SO, SO, SO, SO GOOD. Engaging, fast, funny- sounded AWESOME. Highly entertaining- one of the best concerts I’ve been to!!! Would have been nice to know there was no coat check at the venue…in winter…in Calgary

by Turk2003 on 2022-11-26Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I have wanted to see the offspring and simple plan forever! It was like jumping right back into my teens! Loved it

  • Wanted more simple plan

by Chelsea on 2022-11-26Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Wish the offspring would have played more of their top hits. I was very bored after simple plan left the stage.

  • An awesome night out

by Cuzzies on 2022-11-26Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

We had the most wonderful time at Simple Plan and The Offspring. My cousin came 4500 kms to go to the concert. The sound was great. There was the right amount of people in there, it wasn’t too crowded. The crowd was amazing and not a problem. The only complaint we have is the security at the end of the night using excessive force on our DD which was totally uncalled for. But we won’t let 6 over zealous security guards ruin a great night.

  • They may be older, but they still got it!!

by Dave P on 2022-11-26Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Bought the Smash album in 1994! I never would’ve thought I’d be rocking out to songs from that album 28 years later! This was my 5th Offspring show….hopefully not my last because they were AMAZING!!

  • Great time!

by Elizabeth on 2022-11-26Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Parking was organized, didn't wait in line for too long, everything started on time. It was my first time at the venue and I really liked the atmosphere. The bands were phenomenal. The only thing I noticed was when The Offspring came on their sound wasn't as great. Maybe because I was a lot closer to the stage? But it seemed like they got it figured out after the first couple of songs. It was a real blast (from the past)!

  • Pretty Fly For Some White Guys

by Kass on 2022-11-26Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Great Venue - Amazing Sound. No lip syncing here! Both Simple Plan and Offspring sounded amazing live. Set list was on point. Video and graphics on point. Loved the interactive kiss-cam/head-bang cam during intermission. Would definitely see them again!

Everyone at the concert had a blast and I would see them again.

  • Good energy sound tech needs work

by Rev on 2022-11-25Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The show was great. Crowd was amazing. The first half of the show Dexter’s mic seemed to be having issues when he played guitar almost sounded like his vocals cut out. Good time over all though. Nice to see an open floor crowd without seating and everyone was in god spirits

  • Great Time

    by Pain 16 on 2022-11-25Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring did not disappoint! The music was great, fast paced & entertaining! Simple Plan was a great warm up act also. The sound was great at Rogers Place. If anything both bands could have played a little longer.

  • Great show, high prices

by Dmakadam on 2022-11-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Greta show, easy to get in. But higher prices than the hockey game, ridiculous.

  • AMAZING

    by June7399 on 2022-11-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

What a great concert!! The Offspring put on an AMAZING show! I absolutely loved every minute of it!!

  • Wicked

by Courtp on 2022-11-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing time , would definetly see them again if they come back to Edmonton. Such a rush seeing music live

  • Sound sucked

by Bob on 2022-11-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 2 out of 5

Sound for simple plan was great however they turned the sound up even further for the offspring and all you could really hear was the instruments they had those way too loud compared to the vocals and you could hear them sing very well at all. I wasn’t aware the goal of a concert was to just leave us with hearing damage rather than enjoy the music.

  • Absolutely the Most Fun Concert Ever!!

by Brother D Blues on 2022-11-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

From before the show even started, this concert was different. It was fun, joyful, energetic, and immersive. Simple Plan was excellent, and The Offspring were everything I had hoped they would be. This concert has been a bucket list item for many years, and thankfully I got to take my daughter to her first concert to see her favourite band. An experience I will definitely repeat. 5 stars are not enough!
