THE PLAYERS Championship, often referred to as “the fifth major” in professional golf, is an annual tournament hosted by the PGA Tour that boasts the sport’s top talent as well as one of its largest purses. Launched in 1974 as the Tournament Players Championship, the contest moved to its permanent home on the TPC at Sawgrass Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in 1982. “The Golden Bear” Jack Nicklaus claimed the first PLAYERS title and holds the record with three career championships, while golfing greats such as Fred Couples, Steve Elkington and Tiger Woods have earned two apiece. The 2024 PLAYERS Championship will take place between March 12 and 17.

    The organization as a whole is superb. The many volunteers make the experience very memorable. Everybody was super helpful in giving directions to the holes we wanted to see or to get a hamburger. If you want to go to one tournament only, the Players is the one to pick.

    The course is set-up for the fans. The players interact all over the course. 17th is everything you envision being, and better live! The atmosphere is incredible. One the only PGA events where it is affordable to enter and all the top players are in the field.

    Sat at TPC hole 17, the island green, all day and watched the field come through. Event was well organized and the info on the sign for each player was superb. Would definitely return again.

    This event was everything I thought it would be and more, unbelievable course and the organization that went into it was amazing. I hope to attend again in 2013 and have some buddies with me to experience it as well. Words can't describe how good it was to watch your favorite golfers tee it up. AMAZING

    Went to two practice rounds and got to check out lots of pros up close. Not many other people there on Tuesday and not a whole lot more on Wednesday. Easy to see lots of holes and lots of places to sit and watch for a while. Got lots of autographs. Will be back.
