The Rankin Family Tickets

You sometimes let a group or artist fall off your radar for a while and it slips your mind that you haven't heard from them for a time. That is how it was with the Rankins. I was a huge fan in the 90's and went to performances whenever I could. My son and daughter-in-law gave me tickets this year for Christmas and I was so excited. I hadn't heard that they were touring again. My brother, mother and I went and their music and performance were still amazing. It made me remember great times and good memories. They are so talented and sound so great. They did a good mix of old favourites and new tunes that are sure to become favourites. The only number we wished they had done was "Rise Again" it was the only disappointment of the evening , a minor disappointment all things considered.

My wife and I had a fabulous time! The venue is perfect for an intimate evening with east coast warmth, humour and of course amazing voices. M y only wish would have been to have all of them perform as Raylene was not there. Still a wonderful evening!

The Rankin Family are one of my favorite groups and always will be. Friday nights show was good, but not great. I missed the short dark haired sister, and also a band. The aquistic bad was not quite right. I missed the fiddlers as well. Yes I would go to see them again, but would check to see if they had a full band.

The concert was excellent. Great sound, beautiful singing. However, not impressed Raylene wasn't there, missed a few of my favorite songs... I expected all 4 to be there...

It was my first time at McPhillips. I was disappointed with the forum. But also disappointed with the caliber of the show. Minus one singer and after the show I felt that the $133.00 for two tickects was overpriced for what was delivered. I have spent less to see concerts at the MTS centre.

We just loved this concert as it reminded us of Nova Scotia. We love the Rankin Family songs.

I felt the Ranbkin's were a little subdued in this performance. I had the feeling they wanted the evening to end sooner rather than later. I also think that since Raylene was not at this performance ,,, it did make a significant difference in the program. I like the Rankin's but not so much this time.
