Fantastic opening by IME, TP was a letdown - Calgary

    by Rockshow on 2023-11-13

First time seeing IME and they blew the roof off. Awesome show about 80 mins long. I'm more of a fan of Tea Party's stuff but this time, I was very underwhelmed by their show. Jeff Martin felt the need to humorously plan to stop during the middle of a song several times, funny once, lame 3+ times. You can tell the other 2 don't like it, it's totally juvenile. The updated renditions of their songs were different in a negative way. Im sure they like to change it up, just saying it wasnt a good one. I saw them 5 years ago and was blown away. They decided to mix U2 with or without you into Heavens Coming Down... awful decision. Their set feels like it's 30 minutes. TP should be opening, IME clearly carries them.

Don’t come expecting TTP to play their own songs

    by Mike on 2023-11-13

Came from Edmonton to see them both; thankfully IME was amazing and played their stuff and nailed it. When TTP came out, it was all ego and talking followed by…. Cover songs? Wtf? Didn’t I pay to hear them play their own music? I got U2 and the Hip so I literally walked out and had a better time at the casino. A few criticisms: 1) IME needs to have more merch than just two T-shirt options.

    Super fun!

by JG on 2023-11-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

So special to see these 2 bands together after all these years. The VIP experience was perfect. IME played some fun unexpected songs. My only complaint would be that the Tea Party are essentially playing the identical set (same song intros and divergences) for a number of years now.

    Amazing

Once again the Tea Party did not disappoint! Jeff’s voice is simply unmatchable in the industry! Thank you for the amazing show! Can not wait until the next one

    Venue Over Warm

by Norsomemore on 2023-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I only stayed for most of I Mother Earth. Which their sound system had more than a few feed back problems. Plus the venue was way over Hot 🥵 This was a shame because I truly came to see The Tea Party and because of it being so very hot 🥵 I left

    Wildly Fun night!

by Stephen on 2023-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Both bands were solid! Amazing energy! 30ish years enjoying both I Mother Earth and The Tea Party! What a night! Well worth the price of admission. About 3hrs of music.

    Excellent

by Inkpeeler on 2023-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I mother earth was good, but their equipment wasn't great. Sounded distorted. The Tea Party on the other hand, had way better sound! Been waiting to see them for years and was not disappointed. One of the best shows I've seen in a while. The band was tight, and put new spins on their songs. They did a few covers in their style and those were incredible, also! The only disappointing thing was, the venue was way too hot, which made it uncomfortable by the end.

    A phenomenal show

by thatguy1975 on 2023-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The Tea Party and I Mother Earth were 2 bands that resonated with me in tge 90s. I got to see them around 25 years ago at Edgefest and I'm so happy I got to see them together again. The Tea Party has only improved with time. I really hope to see them again.

    More Tea Please

by WpgGuy64 on 2023-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I gave 4 stars because TP earned 5 and IME a 3. Edwin’s voice is still strong but he had the microphone pressed to his face so his words were mostly garbled. Jeff Martin is a rockstar and did everything you’d want to see a lead do. He definitely toned it down for the better from when he played the Park Theatre years ago and pissed off the crowd with his arrogance. That was completely gone this show. Would go see TP again tomorrow. IME, not.

    Amazing experience !

by Jody on 2023-11-06Molson Canadian Centre at Casino New/Nouveau Brunswick - Moncton

The venue was really good, seats were awesome. I thought both bands interacted si5 the audience and it was a good volume without over playing the room. I Mother Earth were very tight as a band, great presentation and they seemed to love what they are doing. I thoroughly enjoyed their performance and would see them again! I have seen the Tea Party a few times and they always deliver! Love those guys and love the music! Come back more often please.

    TTP KICKED ASS!!

by Kolagirl on 2023-11-06London Music Hall - LONDON

TTP always puts on an epic show! Funny part was the guys with a 50' ladder trying to take down the banner for IME! Hilarious!

    Too packed

by SM on 2023-11-06London Music Hall - LONDON

So the show was good, it was great to see both bands on stage again. However, I have been to many concerts, and been to Music Hall several times before, and never have I felt so crammed into a place in my life. There wan not an incendiary in this building you could traverse freely. It is quite normal to have a packed front area, and then the population thins out as you get further back.... but there was literally nowhere you could move. Maybe too many tickets were sold? I don't know what happened, but that aspect was not enjoyable.

    Two of Canadas best bands!

by immikemurphy on 2023-11-06London Music Hall - LONDON

Both bands were incredible live! It was awesome to see I Mother Earth back in action with Edwin on vocals (Bryan Byrne did a great job but there's nothing like the original). The Tea Party absolutely kicked ass like they always do. The Acoustic VIP experience was good but felt like it started late, ran very short and then it was over.

Amazing Sound from two great bands!

by ime_gal on 2023-11-03FirstOntario Concert Hall - Hamilton

While the show was amazing and both bands sounded great 5 stars for them! I was greatly disappointed with the venue not having people sit down for the show (0 stars for this). It is a seated venue, there is no real need to stand the entire show (it’s not like you can ‘mosh’ around). Unfortunately for me I was unable to stand for long periods. I asked the group in front kindly if they would sit but they refused. They were in the front row of their section (no real reason to stand) and I didn’t want to block the view worse for the people behind me that is IF I could’ve stood for the whole show. If the venue wants to allow people the choice to stand then they should designate a standing area only. I was happy to be seated and very sad to have my view obstructed by some people who were too unkind to sit. I would hope the venue would re-think its standing policy so it can be more inclusive to those who cannot stand for whatever their personal reasons are. I bought tickets to a seated venue to be able to sit while taking in the show both in sound and sight. I also paid quite a premium for the best seats I could find to enjoy the show. I hope in future staying seated is not an option and if it still is I hope people would show some empathy and kindness to sit if they are asked politely by someone. Thank-You

    Large/tall people suck

by Vyxsin on 2023-11-03The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - Pickering

I really only went to see The Tea Party, I mother earth played well but I couldn't really get into their songs. My only real issue with the concert wasn't the concert itself, but rather other concert goers who are large/tall blocking the view of the stage.. even with me standing and trying to look around this tall guy it didn't matter couldn't see. The real blessing was him and his partner left maybe a song or two into The tea party, so I was happy to actually see the concert at that point . Haha
